I'm not sure if the city or IU would be responsible for this request, but I'd like to suggest the placement of signs making it clear pedestrians should not walk on the west side of Union between the RR tracks and 10th St. There's a sidewalk on the east side of the street. Pedestrians walking through here make it very tough for the E bus to safely cross the tracks and get into the proper traffic lane at the intersection. (I'm a campus bus operator.) Of course, the signs would be best placed such that buses' mirrors won't clip them. Thanks.
There should not be multiple double yellow lines on any stretch of pavement. This is an accident waiting to happen. Please remove the north-most yellow lines and make it a white single line.
I travel eastbound 2nd street almost every day. Very often, cars stay in the lane to turn right onto Adams, but continue driving straight onto 2nd. This happens more frequently after snowfall. Perhaps lane markers or reflectors could help distinguish the different lanes.
Double yellow on Jordan north of Atwater very heavily worn.
I think there should be a stop sign at Clarizz and KMart/Bloomingdoods parking lots. It's too easy to slide out onto the road at that intersection.
Suggestion: have you considered a permanent all-way stop at the intersection of 10th Street and Smith Road? When this was a detour, the "all way" stop worked so much better than before.
In the north bound lane at the intersection of Grimes and Walnut the turn lane is backed up all the way across Hillside. The left turn light to turn onto Grimes is only long enough for a few car to go at a time. There were 12 cars in the turn lane around noon. Only 3 were able to turn on the green arrow. Thus it would/could take 4light cycles to get through the intersection. I recommend increasing the length of the green turn arrow at peak traffic times. Thank you.
Stop sign almost completely faded on Hyde park circle culdesac
Turning west onto the 45/46 bypass at walnut... the turn arrows let about 4 or 5 cars go thru at best... even if they speed off the line... can the duration of the green arrow be lengthened a "few cars" or so...
