Burnt out street light
Burnt out street light
When the city street department was doing some type of digging throughout the Bloomington streets in October , the streetlight in front of the house was disconnected and never hooked back up. The address is 411 North Lincoln street. I called and reported this but nothing has changed - the light is still not connected.
There's no lighting on this small street, and the sidewalks are somewhat uneven. Would be nice to have some lighting for when it gets dark so early.
Because this area is so dark, when a car crests the hill, the lights are blinding. A light at this location would improve visibility for drivers going both directions.
The streetlight on this corner at Ninth and Jackson has been burnt out for literally years. People continue to dump trash, steal things from my porch, and cause trouble in this corner because it is so dark. Please for the love of god, replace the street light in this corner.
I live at 117 S.Heritage Rd in Park Ridge area. To avoid risk to crash into the vehicles parked on Heritage Rd, I turned into Morningside from 3rd street, then Park Lane, meadow brook, back to Morningside then into Heritage. When the time I turned into Morningside, it’s like from a bright hallway into a dark theater. Once I almost turn into the grass area. The street lights in Park Ridge area are old fashioned. The ones in Park Ridge East with low warm light are much better. The area I passed are all dark even with people’s own light, hard for drivers to see people walking their dogs in the night.
I would like to request the consideration of a streetlight for the block of N Fess Ave between E 9th St and E 10th St. I frequently walk through this block late on Thursday evenings, and it is the one block in the area that is truly dark. Other streets are well lit, but walking through this block is truly very dark and feels a bit unsafe. I've attached a photo of said block, although it's worth noting that my phone left the shutter open for longer when taking it, and thus in reality the block is darker than the photo would seem to indicate.
This area is very dark, needs light
