Street & Traffic Signs

Can the city consider installing “cross-traffic does not stop” signs below the stop signs on Allen Street at its intersections with Washington and Lincoln Streets?
Cyclists may be lulled into a false sense of security as they ride on Allen Street, a marked bicycle boulevard, especially if they have just come off the B-Line trail where they are conditioned to cars yielding to them at intersections.
As such, they might not be watching diligently for cross-vehicular traffic (or will assume that vehicles are going to stop for them) on Washington and Lincoln Streets, which does not have to stop at their respective Allen Street intersections.
By installing “cross-traffic does not stop” signs (both eastbound and westbound) on Allen Street, safety can be improved by giving cyclists another warning that they had better heed the stop signs.

Complaints from businesses in the area of 7th/Walnut that the dismount sign is only visible for those traveling south on Walnut and that the sign currently there is much too high for anyone to see. Request an additional sign much lower visible to those going north on Walnut (west side of the road).

There are no signs on Coolidge or Brown streets by the Broadview Learning Center and Bloomington Graduation School building indicating it is a school or reducing speed limits. BGS is an alternative high school in MCCSC, but the students are entitled to the same protections as any traditional high school. Please remedy this inequity.

At 7th/Morton, the “new traffic pattern” sign is *after* the intersection. It should be located *before* the intersection to alert folks that cross-traffic no longer stops.

On behalf of myself and concerned neighbors, we request the inclusion of a stop sign at High St. and Greenbriar Lane. This is an area of fast moving traffic despite the fact that it is also a crosswalk for school children and there are numerous children walking in the area. There are numerous stop signs along High St. up until this point so the lack of a stop sign at this particular intersection is a dangerous anomaly. If you could please implement one here, it would be much appreciated by the various surrounding neighborhoods. Thank you.
