Drainage issue behind my house (2201 E. Autumn Drive). Rain water goes to the Jackson Creek but since last year the pipe has been damaged and now huge area has been damaged by the rain water. Big huge trees are falling (another one about to fall) because the rain is sweeping all the soil and roots have been exposed. Please have someone visit the site ASAP.
This email was forwarded to me by Tom Axsom on January 8, 2015. It was forwarded to Tom by Joe VanDeventer: To the Department it may most concern; My wife and I moved to Bloomington last July and have been renting a bungalow on East 2nd Street for the past 6 months. We have been looking for a permanent home and are considering purchasing a particular home at 1929 E. Southdowns. There is one problem; there is an open drainage ditch running the length of the front yard where it meets the road. I assume it is a city easement and is city maintained. I am first and foremost quite concerned about the possibility of children being injured in the ditch, and would welcome the city installing proper pipes and covering the area. I’m also concerned about any liability I might have as homeowner. How might I go about obtaining a letter from the city which states that the city is responsible for maintenance of the ditch and has liability for any injuries that may occur? Thank you. Since I am considering making an offer on this property, your immediate attention is greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Jim Quinn President RightRez, Inc. 227 W. 173337 Our case number was closed. We don't know how this happened without anyone contacting us. Today, Mar 11 the flooding began again and reached the side of our houses. The drainage is not able to carry this amount of water away and needs to be addressed. Please contact us. Thanks
Received this comment on report I submitted in early Sept: We investigated the area and didn't find anything we believe to be a main leak. There are a few residential fish ponds in this area that may be getting drained. We will continue to monitor the situation. Sent notification to Emily Tate, Anonymous I am still seeing this street spot as wet, just in the one place as from the attached picture I sent in the original report. I am happy to watch and document this as we head into freeze and thaw conditions. I believe it will cause cracking and some loose asphalt. I really don't think this has anything to do with residential fish ponds? The wet line has a definitive start line. Thank you
Curb and gutter are wet for 50-100 yards on the west side of the street. It appears the water is "moving" to the nearest underground drain.
1909 E. Windsor Dr, water leak in the street.
When it rains, the run off comes down my driveway off of High street and the parallel sidewalk and runs down my driveway pooling in front of my garage door and in turn enters my house. This will occur during a rainfall of 0.5 inch or more. Would it be possible to look at the drains on High street or add one at the top of the hill to divert water away from my driveway?
The customer is having drainage issues on her property.
Mr Beckett left a message on 6/9/14 saying he had spoken to Phil about an issue with drainage and his neighbor and Phil told him I was looking at the situation.
