As can be seen in the photo there are three dry creek beds (swales) feeding the area where the runoff water is pooling during a heavy rain fall. Cause of the pooling is the drain through a small ridge is eroded and clogged up. City needs to remedy this issue.
Dear City of Bloomington Representative, Last night’s torrential rain brought a lot of water down our driveway from the street, some of which eventually ended up in our finished basement. We've lived at this address since 2009, and this has been a problem we've lived with since then. We’ve spent almost $15,000 on waterproofing our basement, installing storm drains at the bottom of our driveway, halfway down our driveway, and installing a berm on top of the driveway. Still, water that runs down the Anita Street takes a hard right into our driveway and overwhelms our systems. Anita Street slopes south to north, after it has turned from the east to west slope of East 2nd street. We believe a majority of the water coming down Anita Street actually ends up in our driveway. A lot of the water from the street also collects in the yard of our neighbor, Allyson Youat Schnable. Water that has come into our basement has damaged equipment, furniture, boxes and their contents, and is a threat to our foundation. I believe we have exhausted our options to comprehensively deal with the amount of storm water that is presented to us. We would love for the city to address the water coming down the street. Ms Fulford left a voice message 8/22/16 indicating the neighbor to the north (521 N Dunn St) has a pump for a spring that shoots water out at least every few minutes and it's pointed toward her house and water has no where to go so just ponds.
Ty left me a voice message indicating they were still having problems with water entering their building in the back alley and believed the Jordan Culvert reconstruction project from a few years ago was the cause.

There is an excessive amount of water flowing down South Fess down the street from my house. It has been flowing for at least 15 min now and appears to look like sewer water. It has not rained so it does not appear to be a result of that.
The storm drains have been very clogged on the 500 block of south Woodlawn well before the cicadas and excessive rainfall. These need to be cleared to prevent cars from hydroplaning in standing water and “sidewalk tsunamis” that hit pedestrians when a car passes. Thank you.
The storm drain couldn't handle all the water from the bad storm over the weekend, and the runoff created a hole behind the drain. Don't know if there's any damage, but if anything, the grate needs a thorough cleaning. Thank you!
Utilities removed trees along Graham drive. Drastically increased drainage in our yards in Winslow Farms. A ditch was to be dug in 2017....We were notified 'ran out of time to complete' last year. Needed ASAP. Worked with engineer Phil P.
