My wife and I live at 515 W 3rd st, in Prospect Hill. I would like to request a simple upgrade to the functionality of the pedestrian signals at the S. Rogers st. and W. 3rd st. traffic interchange. I will reference the City of Chicago as a best practice. In Chicago, in almost every intersection with a traffic light, all pedestrian signals utilize the following sequence: a) When the light turns green, the white walk icon light actuates. b) When the pedestrian signal reaches the 30 second level (sometimes more or less than 30 seconds, depending on the overall duration of the light), the white walk signal changes to a red blinking don't walk icon and countdown timer, which counts down the remaining walk time. c) When the timer reaches 0, the blinking light changes to a full red don't walk icon. This coincides with the traffic light turning yellow. d) This functionality is in place 24/7/365. This functionality provides crucially important situational information to both drivers and pedestrians on the status of the traffic light. This is especially important as we somewhat frequently witness incidents of road rage at this intersection, as an unintended consequence of the no right turn on red signage that has been placed at this intersection. I am generally supportive of the no right turn on red signs, but the signage has definitely created this new issue. Because this functionality already exists at this intersection (in some pedestrian signals, at some times of the day), there should not be any material cost to make this change. It will require a technician to modify the code in the microprocessor that controls the lights. Please feel free to reach out to me if you would like to discuss further. Thank you. Mid lane red light is out.

To turn right off Kimble onto West 3rd Street going west you sit through at least 7 traffic lights. Cars continue through intersection going west and you cannot pull onto 3rd Street when u have the right away from other vehicles blocking intersection illegally. the lights are not timed correctly and it is a major problem

Left turn lanes from Westbound 3rd street onto Southbound College Mall Road. When turning left onto Southbound College Mall Road, traffic often gets stuck blocking Eastbound 3rd Street traffic because the light at the entrance to Eastland Plaza turns red. Cars turning left at the green arrow end up stuck in the intersection even if they turn when the arrow is green.

Complaint of mistimed traffic signals causing backup. Located at the corner of College Mall Rd. and 3rd St. The turn signal for those West bound on St. Rd. 46 turning onto South bound College Mall Rd. allows too many cars into intersection than next light at entrance to Eastland Plaza can handle. Cars are turning into intersection while they still have green light but are then unable to continue down College Mall Rd. because the next light is either not long enough or not properly synced with the turn lane at College Mall Rd. and 3rd St.

While driving home the last two nights (after midnight, I noticed the lights at the intersection of N. College and the 46 Bypass were on their regular daytime timing pattern and not set to change on demand. Has that been changed (hope not) or is it broken?

Lights have been updated with sensors but the light from Curry Pike to 46 is green for much too long now. This causes a long backup in the turn lane from 46 W onto Curry Pike.
