Hey Neil,
Thanks a lot! It's heartwarming that you're looking into it, aging equipment not withstanding.
Re: Kirkwood/Walnut...if you're in front of the Book Corner, or across from it in front of the Courthouse trying to get to the Book Corner corner, and it's you've just this second gotten the green pedestrian sign, you will not make it across during the green hand (or whatever the symbol is). Never. I'm really healthy and I can't get across before the pedestrian sign changes and opens up the car traffic. Turning cars are not inclined to watch pedestrians, they're distracted by oncoming traffic and timing their own turns. Thus, squashed pedestrian.
Kind of you to take an interest, Neil. Happy New Year!

The lights between Patterson and Curry on W 3rd are very poorly timed and are causing a consistent traffic back log.

The lights on 3rd street between Patterson and Curry are horribly timed. You are lucky to get through a light on the 5th cycle. I don't understand why these lights are so badly timed when lights on Walnut/College are so well timed. Thank you!

Timing of turn signal from westbound lane to south College Mall

Complaint of mistimed traffic signals causing backup. Located at the corner of College Mall Rd. and 3rd St. The turn signal for those West bound on St. Rd. 46 turning onto South bound College Mall Rd. allows too many cars into intersection than next light at entrance to Eastland Plaza can handle. Cars are turning into intersection while they still have green light but are then unable to continue down College Mall Rd. because the next light is either not long enough or not properly synced with the turn lane at College Mall Rd. and 3rd St.

it is taking far too long to get from Landmark ave. to the Mcdonalds on west 3rd. I spent 20 minutes today in that area and there wasn't an accident nor workers working. I have worked with doctors who did their residency at County general in Chicago, and they on more than one occasion that they could get from one side of downtown chicago to the other faster than getting across Bloomington. That says something for our traffic flow!
