The pedestrian paths leading to the pedestrian tunnel under the 45-46 bypass are icy and hazardous. This is the case both westbound and eastbound. I saw another pedestrian fall on the eastbound approach. I was carrying a heavy load of groceries, and I consider myself lucky that I didn't fall. Bloomington, please do better by us.
Not really an issue per say. More a general question. For people walking down third street is there any way for them speed up the light change when there is no cross traffic coming? I normally try to give it two minutes to change? I've noticed it doesn't change automatically unless there is physical cross traffic sitting at the light. Some nights I have enough time to truly wait other nights when running late waiting there is far to much time in my own opinion. If there isn't that's cool. As I said I'm just curious. At 7:26 am on 11/31/2023, a motorist in a dark BMW nearly ran me over as I was crossing the street. The vehicle was traveling about 50 MPH based on my calculation (speed=distance/time.) This is not the first near miss that I have had crossing the street or backing out of my driveway. I have sent in requests for a speed hump as motorist travel north and south between 3rd and 5th much faster than 25 MPH. I have not heard back from anyone. Please let me know that you have at least seen this uReport ticket. I tried to submit this report in the "Close Call" section more than once and it does not work.
Trees impinging the bike route on 7th st. They also block the view of oncoming traffic.
The 7th street bike lane is terrible. The curb greatly reduces bikes ability to avoid any danger in the bike lane. If a car turns into the bike lane, the biker can't avoid it due to the curb. I much prefer the old setup with bike lanes on each side of the street. I can't believe you wasted so much time and money to make a bike lane that's so much worse than before.
Pedestrian cross-walk buttons on west side of intersection at East Third and Hillsdale/Woodscrest (northwest and southwest corners) don't work.

East Fourth Street on the east side of Jefferson is blocked by tree limbs. The limbs hang down across Fourth (which at that point is just a pedestrian path) and extend down almost to the surface of the path.
