Lack of full attendance of the members of the Board of Zoning Appeals over at least the last three months is seriously hampering the capacity of the City to handle land use matters in an efficient and timely manner. The Board of Zoning Appeals has cancelled its regular meeting for July 25, 2024 for a lack of quorum. While the BZA did technically have a quorum in May and June, there were fewer than all 5 members present for the entirety of either of these meetings. City council and the mayor need to appoint BZA members who are taking this responsibility seriously without repeated absences.

This week we discovered years of text messages related to prostitution on a relative's mobile phone. He is elderly and transitioning to a care home, the texts were found while getting things in order. Many were very recent (within days). The texts were related specifically to the owners of Indiana-based Asian massage parlors. The bother or close relative of the owner of a massage parlor busted in Columbus, IN owns a similar place, Lemongrass Foot Spa, 104 S Pete Ellis Dr, Bloomington, IN 47408: https://fox59.com/news/columbus-police-shut-down-massage-parlor-after-serving-warrant-for-alleged-prostitution/ Like the Columbus location, the establishment changed its name after operating under the same name as the Columbus location. Prior reviews online make clear that the business was a front for prostitution as the reviewers described the services in terms that would be generally understood to be "Happy Endings." In addition to prostitution, many of the women seem to participate in activities that border on, or may actually be, elder abuse, fraud (specifically address fraud), and theft. Based on what we've seen in the text messages, we believe some may also be here illegally. Obviously, I cannot say with certainty that crimes are currently being committed - but, that's where an investigation is needed. And, this is a where-there's-smoke-there's-fire situation. I've implored the people who've discovered this to turn it over to assist in an investigation, but it is a sensitive matter for the family. I do hope that this information is taken seriously and that some inquiry can be made to ensure any illegalities are addressed.

I am emailing to request a target date we will be required to vacate our space. Warrant Technologies currently resides in the Showers Building at 320 W. 8th St, Suite 207 Bloomington, IN 47404. We have been verbally notified by three different city representatives, one of which was the deputy mayor, that will be required to move out prior to end of our lease. We have inquired each time – When will we be required to move? No response has been provided to date. This is having a detrimental impact to our ability to support our customers. We cannot plan for / execute upgrades needed to include facility security measures, classified holding capability, expanded connectivity to include classified connection, cooling, alarms, and additional access control. I am a former employee of Security Pro 247and wish to remain anonymous. I was an operations supervisor and was asked by the owner of the company Arron Waltz to sign insurance docs for him. I refused and he did it anyways and was arrested last month on 2 felony counts of forging insurance documents. I have included the news article in the file upload. Arron states that he is not the owner of the company just the director but the state license agency has him listed as the owner. Security Pro 247 has guards at switchyard park and recently at the taste of Bloomington and they do not have the insurance to do so and have had they security license suspended due to the Waltz arrest. Also they are they not permitted with the insurance they did have to work any events that have alcohol on location.

Hello City of Bloomington, Can you please help me up with this issue I have contacted you before you all know about me and my life in this town I used to work at IU and I left on 2019. when I left they didn't leave me alone and followed me to my home and my family and kids and they are still in my life please help me get them out. they are in my phone through my ex and they control my kids life they don't let me see my own kids schedule for games or practices they don't let me see their grades I didn't see their grades till this year from last year. I let go of alot of things but now they want me to do gray on old people so they can give me disability because I cant find a job in this town every job I go they miss it up for me they hate me and they are using me please please make them stop I don't have anyone in this town. they are controlling us through other people please stop them.
