We want to formally oppose Tyler Curry's proposed development on Morningside Drive. He wants to build a self-storage building right next to a park and a family neighborhood, which I find completely inappropriate. This is an area where children play soccer, go sledding in the winter, and walk to the local ice cream shop. This is a safe, quiet neighborhood that should not have a self-storage facility placed in it. We believe that a self-storage facility would make the park and surrounding area unsafe for these young families. Please consider telling Tyler Curry no.

105 e. driscoll - some windows have been boarded up but others appear to remain broken, this looks like a dangerous attractive nuisance. the legal department should endeavor to get a local court to impose a receivership or otherwise order some compliance with health and safety here.

Lack of full attendance of the members of the Board of Zoning Appeals over at least the last three months is seriously hampering the capacity of the City to handle land use matters in an efficient and timely manner. The Board of Zoning Appeals has cancelled its regular meeting for July 25, 2024 for a lack of quorum. While the BZA did technically have a quorum in May and June, there were fewer than all 5 members present for the entirety of either of these meetings. City council and the mayor need to appoint BZA members who are taking this responsibility seriously without repeated absences.

This week we discovered years of text messages related to prostitution on a relative's mobile phone. He is elderly and transitioning to a care home, the texts were found while getting things in order. Many were very recent (within days). The texts were related specifically to the owners of Indiana-based Asian massage parlors. The bother or close relative of the owner of a massage parlor busted in Columbus, IN owns a similar place, Lemongrass Foot Spa, 104 S Pete Ellis Dr, Bloomington, IN 47408: https://fox59.com/news/columbus-police-shut-down-massage-parlor-after-serving-warrant-for-alleged-prostitution/ Like the Columbus location, the establishment changed its name after operating under the same name as the Columbus location. Prior reviews online make clear that the business was a front for prostitution as the reviewers described the services in terms that would be generally understood to be "Happy Endings." In addition to prostitution, many of the women seem to participate in activities that border on, or may actually be, elder abuse, fraud (specifically address fraud), and theft. Based on what we've seen in the text messages, we believe some may also be here illegally. Obviously, I cannot say with certainty that crimes are currently being committed - but, that's where an investigation is needed. And, this is a where-there's-smoke-there's-fire situation. I've implored the people who've discovered this to turn it over to assist in an investigation, but it is a sensitive matter for the family. I do hope that this information is taken seriously and that some inquiry can be made to ensure any illegalities are addressed.

I am emailing to request a target date we will be required to vacate our space. Warrant Technologies currently resides in the Showers Building at 320 W. 8th St, Suite 207 Bloomington, IN 47404. We have been verbally notified by three different city representatives, one of which was the deputy mayor, that will be required to move out prior to end of our lease. We have inquired each time – When will we be required to move? No response has been provided to date. This is having a detrimental impact to our ability to support our customers. We cannot plan for / execute upgrades needed to include facility security measures, classified holding capability, expanded connectivity to include classified connection, cooling, alarms, and additional access control. Warrant needs an answer to the following questions; • Will we be required to move out? • If yes, when will we be required to move? • If no, will we be able to exercise our lease option years?
