Can you please replace the stop sign located at intersection of Thorton Drive and Maxwell Street (at the western side of the intersection on Thorton Drive). It is very faded and hard to see and i'm worried that somebody will go through the intersection without stopping.
Please fix this problem for us in the neighborhood.

People absolutely FLY down our road (west 8th). Multiple family pets have been hit and kids are always trying to play outside but have to worry about cars not paying attention. Speed bumps need to be put in.

As a pedestrian, there isn't a safe space to cross. Either a stop sign or a light-up cross walk would be immensely helpful and increase pedestrian safety.

Corner of Nancy and Viva. I would like to request a stop sign. Traffic on Nancy moves quickly, and visibility is poor for cars exiting from Viva onto Nancy. Cars also frequently turn quickly from Nancy to Viva (going north) and have limited visibility. The corner is a school bus stop, and Viva is a street where many children live and ride their bikes. If a stop sign isn't possible, the next solution would be to cut back the medium-sized pine trees on the south side of the corner on the Viva side. Thanks.

There are no stop signs or speed bumps for a long section on Maxwell Lane between High Street and Jordan Avenue. The speed limit is 25. People are regularly driving 50. From Jordan heading east toward Sheridan there is a hill. Traffic turning or crossing at Mitchell aren’t able to see over the hill. If people drove the posted speed limit, it would not be an issue. There is regular honking as people speeding east on Maxwell crest the hill to find cars turning onto Maxwell from Mitchell or the residences. There are also many elementary students in the very near area, and a bus stop on Maxwell at Sheridan. A stop sign at Mitchell or Sheridan on Maxwell would drastically improve the safety of the area.

It IS IMPOSSIBLE to see oncoming traffic if I stop before the crosswalk on 9th and College. This is because the "German American Bank" building was built right up against the sidewalk (who allowed such an idiotic design???) Perhaps one of those big convex mirrors could be installed on the NE corner of Smallwood so that drivers could see what they are about to enter. Or at least move the marking on the street where cars are supposed to stop.

At 19th & Dunn, there are streetlights just south, and just eat of the intersection - but none on the intersection itself.
I drive through here at about 6:45 am Mon - Fri and am sometimes surprised by someone walking into the roadway (at the crosswalk) that I didn't see upon my approach.

I really don't know what category this would fall under since it really encompasses several things, so I have just called it "other."
I see that in case #170862, there has been a complaint regarding speeding through the W. 12th, 13th, and Illinois Streets area. This is very much like a report I made a few months ago regarding speeding on W. 11th St between N. Adams St. and Fountain Dr. (I don't have the specific case #)
The statement in case 170862 is correct. There are children, pedestrians, a transit stop, and an increasing amount of scooter traffic in this area. I am assuming that it's because of the increasing density on Crescent Rd., but the traffic is heavy on W. 11th, and there are many drivers who run through the section between Adams and the curve at Fountain Dr at a speed well above that of a residential area. I own seven pieces of property on Oolitic and W. 11th, so I am there a lot to see it. One issue is that there are no speed limit signs either direction in the area between Adams and Fountain Dr. This is an issue that can be remedied, and I am hoping that speed limit signs can be placed. A second issue is the design of the road encourages speed. It doesn't look like a residential street. This is a much more complicated issue. I would like to put in a request that, at some point, the section of W. 11th between N. Adams and Fountain Dr. receive curbs on both sides. This is still zoned residential despite the presence of C&S and the one artisan property. This brings me to a third issue. Residential/neighborhood streets are typically limited at 25 MPH. In addition, Tri-North is right there and numerous students walk to and from school. I would like to request that the speed limit on W. 11th from the railroad bridge to Fountain Dr be reduced to 25 MPH. It is currently 30.
Finally, I know that the police department is stretched thin. More officers are needed and I absolutely understand that fact, to say nothing about the fact that they have to argue to get a city contract put through. However, I do hope that, whenever possible, an officer can radar monitor for speeders on that section of W. 11th. Please note, I did see an officer pull over a speeder. Thank you for that. I don't wish to get people in trouble. I only wish for safety. That isn't an industrial artery, it IS a residential street.
Thank you for your time.
