I am a cyclist who lives on Weimer Rd. and commutes to work @ Monroe Hospital and attends IU.
Currently I have had to start using Tapp rd. to 37S. when the clear creek bike trail is inaccessible. Both sides of Tapp have construction debris (mud, gravel, straw, etc...) it makes it both difficult and at times unsafe for cyclists. If I may request an occasional cleaning of both the side run off areas as well as the partially occluded sewers. And if I may be so bold as to ask if there is a way for you to relay a message to the State Dept. that is in charge of 37 debris removal. My selfish area of interest are the breakdown lanes from 2nd to Victor Pike, on both N. and S. sides as this is my alternative to the back roads and bike trails.
Thank you very much.

There is a loose sewer or water cover on the road on W Patterson St between where it intersects with S Madison St and S Rogers. It is loud and disruptive through all hours of the day and night with every car that drives over it and is a potential safety hazard. This has not always been so noisy so it must have come loose or not properly secured recently. Could this please be secured ASAP? Thank you.

Hello,
There has been utilities construction going on by our apartment for over a month now. We understand that there is a lot of noise that comes along with it, especially since they have to break through multiple feet of rock to be able to place new sewer lines. We have been understanding in the last few weeks as rock hammering began at 7AM and went on through 5PM Monday-Friday. Even as this construction extended to Saturdays as well.
As of last night however, the construction went on all night long. I am guessing that since this is a city run construction project that the noise ordinance was overlooked, however with the continued rock hammering this is unacceptable. It is disruptive and prevented us from sleeping through the night (which is especially impressive given that we have grown accustomed to the street noise typical of living on Walnut Street).
Again, we get that this is an important project and that there is a lot of noise that comes along with that. However work through the night cannot continue.
Sincerely,
Brandon Fricke

Utilities workers were out doing work last year and the hole they dug to work on utilities was never filled in. She reported the hole last year, but it was not resolved. The hole is in the median between the street and the sidewalk. It appears like it is has started collapsing.

On 08/28/13, I asked CBU field inspector, Mike Runyon, to inspect the site. He did and reported that the area was restored properly and that adding soil and filling in the area requested by the homeowner would create a drainage issue.

Highland and Skylark-Water coming out of the street, crews digging and trying to repair, water shut off at 1527 S. Highland Ave. Would love to know how/if this will effect our water.
