All city storm inlets in the Rosewood at Hyde Park neighborhood need to be cleaned.
All city storm inlets in the Rosewood at Hyde Park neighborhood need to be cleaned.
Some kind of pipe (I believe it is an old storm sewer) that runs along Woodburn Avenue north of 17th street is caving in. There is a deep hole in the yard of 1401 N. Woodburn, which I fell in on Saturday. There have been similar holes in the yards of adjacent properties, which the property owners have filled in, but it is clear that new holes are starting to open up along this stretch of Woodburn, which will create more hazards for the pedestrians who walk along there.
This sinkhole has been a problem for almost a year. The water dept referred it to sewer in the early Spring but no action has been taken and it is getting worse.
Strong odor coming from the ditch/stream behind our house and along the B Line Trail.
The storm water drain/inlet in front of our house isn't able to handle to load of rain and debris which runs to it. This morning at 4 am our basement dampness alarm went off and had to go clear the street drains as all the water was running down our driveway from the three storm water drains in front of our house (1 is across the street). We installed a swale two years ago to divert the flow of water for our driveway but it isn't large enough to handle the load of water runoff from the drain inlets in front of our house flowing down our driveway. I attached a picture from this morning after I was out at 4 am cleaning the drains with it clogged again to show the issues. I apologiz I didn't take a picture across the street but if you run by today (11/27) you can see it also is already re-clogged. Any time we have a large downpour I have to clean out the drains or we have flooding in our driveway which backs up at the mouth of the swale then flows into our garage then house. Please HELP!
The storm drain at the SW corner of E. Sheridan and S. Karen St. is clogged with the grated cover partially off the culvert
There's an open storm drain that consistently becomes clogged and gets backed up when it rains, causing the water to spill over the road and flood our side yard
There is a white pipe in the woods behind our condo that appears to have raw sewage coming out of it.
Street sewer drain beside 3100 Coppertree Drive and the pond is not draining. The opening to the drain is not blocked by leaves and debris so it must be clogged under the street. Street is starting to flood in this area.
Ditches cement collapsing, two places: 1) under main road 2) resident walkway, see picture.
