The asphalt surface around storm drain inlet in front of my home (2631 S. Atlee St) has given way...fallen below surface level. There are additional cracks in the pavement and it appears the issue could get much worse. Currently someone could step in the hole and twist an ankle or worse. Photo attached. Thank you.
Storm drain, Clog with branch / leaf debris

Resident at 3631 E. Morningside Drive requested additional work in storm ditches located upstream from his residence.
CBU engineering was contacted by Dagnija Berzins who resides at 1509 South Huntington on 7.26.13 regarding damage to her hot water heater as the result of a “flash flood” on 7.23.13. Ms. Berzins said water over-topped the storm ditch and entered her house, damaging her hot water heater in the process. Ms. Berzins quoted $800 as the estimated figure to replace the hot water heater. Ms. Berzins claims the piping designed and installed by the City is too small and therefore, the City is at fault. Legal spoke with Ms. Berzins’ son and instructed him to file a tort claim. CBU indicated to Ms. Berzins we would send someone to look at the pipes and ditch in question.
This complaint was emailed to Nancy Axsom (in engineering dept.) from the customer to remove debris from storm sewer ditch. Nancy told customer he was on a list to have debris removed. She notified the customer by email of this and emailed me a copy of the emails.
