To the Department of Transportation,
Could you please update me on what is going on with the traffic light in front of Batchelor Middle School at the corner of Gordon Pike and S. Rogers Street? For a while this summer it functioned as a traffic light rather than a four-way stop. I assumed that when school started it would be used as a traffic light again. In addition, I was told at the Batchelor Open House that the city has told the school they can't use the new lane they installed to allow traffic to flow through at drop off time (7:30-7:45). I understand the hesitation with using this lane, as it could upset the north/ south traffic. However, I have noticed after a week of drop-offs, that there is rarely any traffic going south on Rogers at that time. Perhaps the lane could be opened to right hand turns only. If the traffic light were used during that time period it would help the traffic flow much more smoothly. It is currently backed up a quarter mile south on Rogers and west on Gordon Pike which would be eased by a traffic light at that time of day. I am sure many other BMS parents and south side commuters would love to know what is going on with this intersection.
Thanks,
Eve Cusack

It would be nice if there were a calender of events at Bryan Park and Bryan Park pool. If there is it is so well hidden that I could no find it. The park web site says that there are many events at the pool and park but does not list when they occur.

Read what it says here about holiday delays in Sanitation Services. Can you make any sense of what it it is saying about Labor Day? Why is the note for Labor Day nonsensically phrased differently from the others? What meaning am I to make of it? That's pretty infuriating.
Don't send my some blathery response. Just fix it.

The "lost animals" section of the Shelter webpage is really a pain to navigate. Why aren't these just in a set of bulleted entries? You have to keep popping open one description at a time, then using the Back button to go back, scroll to where you left off, pop open another one . . .
I just found a lost cat, and trying to go through these descriptions is making me crazy!

At https://bloomington.in.gov/interactive/maps/parkingmap
the map shows either Residential Parking or Other Permit Required (can't tell which as the symbols are identical) on one block South and one block East of the intersection E. Smith Ave. and S. Dunn St. I don't believe this is accurate. I have not seen signs posted in this area and there are not adjoining residences. They are also not in a Zone.
