Yesterday morning, Wednesday August 20, at approximately 11:00 am, I was riding my bike southbound on the B-Line trail through Switchyard Park. In front of me on the trail was a riding lawn mower. As I pulled around to pass the mower on the left, the driver turned left without looking and knocked me off my bicycle. No one was injured, but the front wheel of my bike is wrecked. The incident occurred near light pole BL 29, which appears to have a security camera on it, in case it's helpful to review the camera footage. The operator of the mower is named Larry Norris, he works for Green Dragon Lawncare, under contract to perform maintenance services for the City. If it's possible to have my wheel replaced by their insurance, I would appreciate it.
Thanks.

This tension wire is a hazard for cyclists and needs to be well lit for better visibility in the dark. Reflectors on the wire and along the bend in the path would also add to the safety. I am a 7th grade student at Jackson Creek Middle School. I ride my bike to school every day on the High St recreational path at around 7:30 am. It is dark at that time and I use lights on my bike. On Friday, Nov 5, I was biking down the hill towards this spot. I was going fast down this hill to have enough speed for the uphill right past this spot. Unfortunately, even with my bike light, the tension wire and the sudden bend in the path is hard to see in the dark. My shoulder hit the tension wire and knocked me off my bike. My bike had minor damage to the seat.

So when we have a 5 ft concrete sidewalk WE are responsible to clear it for the kids. As propertty owners. Then the city replaces it with 10 ft of asphalt, assuring us that we are no longer responsible for it. “We will take care of it, Parks and Rec will deal with it in a timely manner”. We get 0.7 inches of snow, the path is icy, and the city is nowhere to be seen. We have to clear the now TEN ft of path ourselves to avoid being sued. FU Hamiltlon! This is is less than an inch!

The shrubbery along the west side of the trail around the Winslow sports complex needs to be pruned back especially in the area near the wooden bridge. It's growing halfway across the trail. The shrubbery near the south east corner of the trail might also benefit from some pruning.

The trails around Winslow Sports Park are still covered in snow and ice. People use these trails to commute to work and school. Please clear them as soon as temperatures allow for removal. The section of trail parallel to Wexley Rd is particularly bad.

The path around winslow sports complex is one that I bike every weekday. This patch of trail is VERY dangerous right now with an edge to it that has gotten even larger over the past month. I bike with my two kids on my bike and it is a section of the trail that I'm afraid will pop my tires or will cause me to derail. I know there are those who use walkers and other such accessibility items and I assume that for them this is also a large issue. Thank you for helping us have awesome parks.

At the Winslow Woods Nature Trail, up on the hill as you're heading to the streets behind the trail (E. Azelea Ln and S. Bent Tree Dr.), there is a yellow jacket nest buried to one side in a thicket. I have noticed them the past couple days I've been out there getting more aggressive and expanding their territory. I was also stung by one before I knew they were there. They seem to be increasing in number, so wanted to let you know to warn anyone who might be allergic, or if children/pets are out there.
Thanks!
