To whom it may concern, My mother received notice from Capital Recovery regarding parking citations. The billing name is my mother's name, Debbie Sheahan. The two outstanding citation numbers are G1304060 (for $52) and G1304121 (also for $52). Please let me know the status of these, as this situation needs to be resolved for my mother's sake. I was under the impression that all payments were handled, and this is not the case. If you could please point me in the direction of someone who can help or can tell me the status of these citations, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Sam Sheahan
This meter is jammed. (No ticket issued)
The two parking meters on the corner of 6th and Dunn are blacked out and you can't see them at night.
I received a parking ticket on 11/09/2013 due to incorrect signage for the new parking meters. It is not clear which meter is for a specific parking space in front of Le Petit Cafe on 6th Street on the north side of the street. It is not clear that the space farthest to the east just next to the rails-to-trails path is a valid parking spot since the east side of the space has a yellow curb. Yellow curbs typically indicate "no parking." this are needs better signage. That space isn't even wide enough for the average car if it is even supposed to be a parking space. The curb should be repainted to clearly indicate if it is a parking space or not.
Older nissan maxima parked on the street, posted no parking on either street in our neighborhood, with no license plate for over 2 months. Please ticket/tow!
I'm not trying to appeal a ticket, but I do have a question. I received a parking ticket today because I did not properly use the meter which I should have. That was my fault, I admit. However, I took a quick look at the meter, and for some reason, it said "expires at 1:30 pm" or something like that. Do previous cars' allotted times continue even when the next person parks, and does the next person parking need to somehow stop the time and then start another session, or something like that? Just curious. Secondly, as I wrote in a comment that I realize was directed to the "other" and "public works" section of this site rather than parking, I would like to apologize again for a nasty, profane complaint letter that I included in the envelope I used to pay my parking ticket. I wrote the letter essentially in the heat of the moment, and did not mean anything I wrote at all. You may not have received the envelope yet, but it was poorly written, so please disregard it. I have a much higher view of the city than what the letter indicates and take full responsibility for today's parking situation.
I am complaining about the parking meter policy. I believe that this policy hurts downtown businesses. I would like the policy changed so that the meters do not have to be in use after 5 pm daily.
