Hello, I was passing by the Fields Apartment complex, all around Clarizz, Fenbrooke, I need to check the exact streets. All of their trees lining the sidewalk and street are improperly mulched with root suffocating “mulch volcanoes.” I’ll pass by there again today or tomorrow and send exact street names and photos. I am secretary of our HOA and this is a question about what is being done in our neighborhood--Cedar Springs Subdivision. Once again Street Department is repaving roads with barely any milling work done, this time on South Washington. Milling down 1' strips less than .5" at the curb and not milling at all in the middle of the road. The "repaving" here is just piling up over an inch of fresh asphalt on top of un-milled asphalt. This raises the grade of the road, which also means curbs are now effectively lower and storm drains that should be at grade are now sitting in a pit of asphalt.

On Saturday, August 2, 2025, we went downtown to have lunch with friends. We parked on the north side of E. 4th Street a half block past Indiana Avenue. I stepped out of the car on the passenger side and stepped into a grass covered hole approximately 5 inches deep by 25 inches across . It had been mowed in such a manner to make it appear that the ground was level. I sustained a sprained left ankle plus a fracture of lateral malleolus of left fibula. I will be in an air cast for an indeterminate amount of time followed by physical therapy. I could only attach one photo, but, we took several more photos of the area. Was the City notified of this area before August 2nd? If not, you are now on notice and hopefully the hole can be filled in before someone else is injured.
