The FBI is advising Americans to avoid sending text messages. A lot of city business is conducted via text. Is the city considering issuing some kind of guidance on this topic? And more broadly, is the city considering any changes to its cell phone policy? As it stands many employees are expected/required to use their personal devices for work, and they are not eligible for a city issued phone and there is no option for a stipend. Thank you.

This is my second complaint about the abandoned VW Scirocco. Although it was ticketed last week, it remains in the same spot. Now, the front bumper has been knocked off and is sitting in front of my house. Please arrange to tow this vehicle promptly.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Elida C. Behar

Could you please ask the landlord at 402 E 1st Street to clean up the leaves in their front yard? Twice now, their leaves have blown onto my property at 404 E 1st Street. I had my yard cleaned before Thanksgiving and again today, December 14. As you can see from the photo, my property (on the left) is well-maintained, while 402 (on the right) is not. I would appreciate it if the landlord could take responsibility and maintain the property in a way that reflects good neighborly behavior.
FYI: I do not have trees on my front or side yards.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Elida C. Behar

Per Raye Anne Cox,

The vehicle will receive a pink tow warning today, if not moved in 3 days, it will be towed on Thursday (12/19/24) morning. This is the process we must follow per the City Ordinance for Parking Services."
The VW Scirocco is still parked outside my house at 404 E 1st Street. Please tell me when it will be removed. Per Ms. Cox, it was scheduled to be towed on DEC 19th; this has not occurred. The vehicle has been here since the Thanksgiving holiday.

We need more indoor dog training and daycare businesses. As we keep increasing density, there is a lack of services. How can we make this happen? Can the city work to get more emergency veterinary services as well for our growing population? It seems pet watching services need an expanded area in which they’re allowed. They’re essential for functioning cities. We love our pets and want more care! Thanks for considering and hopefully working on this!

I have noticed trees cut down in the tree plot on the N side 2nd across from Hopewell Commons (where I think there will be future Hopewell-related street work) and also next to the Building Trades Park. Changes to the Park are being planned, i think, but i am distressed to see so many old Kentucky coffee trees being filled. I hope both cases of systematic tree removal are for good and necessary reasons.

Dragon Express at 3rd & Eagleson. Wonderful food. However, young male employee who takes orders at the desk runs his hands thru his hair, blows & wipes his nose, then scoops rice into carry out containers & attached lids to plastic containers without first washing his hands! He also bundles up the containers into paper bags for carry outs--adds fortune cookies--all w/out hand washing. The food is great, but if an employee on the front line is involved in handling a customer's carry out food while dealing w/ a runny nose, he needs needs to first was his hands. BTW: I worked in food service years ago.
