No Problem to report, just once again saying thank you for the quick responses to all of the reports I list. I know I submit a lot of little piddly ones too, and I never expected to see such a fast turn around time on them as well.
I am writing to sincerely apologize to the parking department for a nasty letter I included in the envelope I used to pay my parking ticket. I wrote the letter very angry over the ticket but have come to realize that the violation was strictly my fault and that there is no reason to be so angry over a twenty dollar parking ticket anyway. In contrast to what I angrily wrote on the letter, I LOVE the city of Bloomington and have been honored to study in this great college town for the last three years, and there is no doubt I will come back many times after I graduate this December. I don't know if you have received my parking ticket check and nasty letter, but please disregard the letter itself as none of what I wrote is really my opinion. Again, I sincerely apologize.
The new decorative stone that replaces the beauty bark on the dividing islands on W. 2nd st. Is a nice idea that might need a little tweeking. The rocks are prone to be kicked into the road as has already happened to the North most island. Thank you, I'll ponder answers, maybe a higher edging would help to keep the stones in place a little better. Thank you Randy Craw
On Morningside, across from Park Ridge East Park (close to tennis and basketball courts) there was a speed limit sign. When the signs were switched out with new speed limit, this one was not replaced, and now there is no sign and the traffic flies.
We have 14 homes in Bloomington. We were wanting to find out who provides the electric, gas, water, sewer, trash services. Would you be able to provide assistance? Thank you!
Hello, I'm not certain the best way to contact the City of Bloomington about this question, but I cannot seem to locate this information on your website. My husband and I are (attempting to become) first time homebuyers. We have been pre-qualified for an FHA loan, and in that process found mention of local programs offering to cover the 3.5% downpayment. Can you please direct me to infomation about these local grants? It would be immensly helpful to my husband and I. Thank you, Nichole
Hello, I am actually a resident of Vigo County but I lived in Bloomington years ago while Mayor Kruzan was a State Rep. I wrote to him after the Matthew Shepard murder urging him to support hate crime legislation and he responding with a handwritten letter promising to fight hate crimes. I still have the letter framed and that response made Mark Kruzan my favorite politician. I was overjoyed to hear he became mayor of Bloomington after I moved away. He is a great man. Hearing that he performed several same sex marriages last February further proved that this is a man who firmly believes in equality for all. I am writing because my partner and I are visiting New York City next year to be legally married and we would love to have a letter from him that we could frame and display at our wedding.
