Violation of city code. This property is absolutely maxed out on % of impermeable surface, and yet they have another paving project. There are already flooding problems during heavy rains at this location, in the streets and surrounding properties. Please enforce this. The city and neighborhood cannot handle the amount of runoff from this property as it is. This needs to be enforced.
Was walking to the parking garage after class and when I came into the stairwell two homeless people were at the bottom of the steps. One had a needle in her hand getting ready to shoot whatever she had and the other man sitting watch. This situation is extremely dangerous and not right for the public to see just going to class. Greetings. In my experience, as well as observations, it does not appear that there is much, if any, enforcement of the Hands-Free Driving state law that went into effect in 2019 in the City of Bloomington. There also doesn't seem to be much accountability to that law as in my experience, the person who rear-ended me told the BPD officer she hit me because she was looking at her phone, but following too close was on the citation and not distracted driving. Why is that? I was told that he didn't want to put more than one reason down. Well, why not distracted driving as that is what she admitted to? Also, there doesn't seem to be any sort of a public safety education campaign in any way... I could imagine that the social media accounts would be a great place for a weekly, bi-weekly, or even monthly Public Safety Announcement (PSA) for some friendly reinforcement, reminders, remedial lessons, etc. about the laws that provide structure around driving a couple ton heavy potentially lethal machine around these safe and civil streets. I think Bloomington motorists need a few reminders on some general laws about operating a motor vehicle, especially the hands-free driving state law. Can someone please speak a bit to this concern of mine? Much obliged for your time.
I went to retrieve my car at the 4th street parking garage last night after attending an event at the Waldron. When I got off the elevator on the 2nd floor I was approached by some disheveled guy who started cussing at me in an aggressive manner. I just turned away and went to my car. He kept cussing and got on the elevator.
I'm writing in support of Goat owned by Kim Carballo, who lives on the corner of Driscoll and South Lincoln.. They don't smell, are quite, well cared for and friendly.. THey don't invade my garden like do Deer, racoons, oppossums, or skunks.. I'm in favor of her getting a variance to keep the goats..

Along the north edge of property where the alley intersects Grant and under the junipers, there is an old, metal fence with a single stretch of barbed wire at the top. This is alongside a public alley, so the barbed wire should not be there, as per City Code 14.36.030 - "Barbed wire fences". It would suffice if the offending wire were removed.
