A senior citizen called in because he wants to recieve Classic Cable and the Encore Network. He does NOT want to recieve additional channels. However, he was told that in order to recieve Encore, he must purchase a package of channels that he does not want. He would like to know why he cannot have Encore without a package.
Ms. Miller volunteers @ 1st United Methodist church on Wednesday's to help feed the hungry. Due to church construction there is no longer a parking lot. She has a handicap tag for her car and walks w/ a cane (also elderly, needing to park as close as possible. Arriving to vounteer at 11:30, she always has trouble finding a space, especially a handicap space. She parked on yellow space between People's Bank & church alley where she recv'd the ticket. What can she do? She has appealed w/ CC

Kid City fees: She feels it is unfair to charge an extra fee for her children to attend the Kid City programs just because she does not live within the city limits. She feels discriminated against.
Caller is concerned about potential gang activity at Mills Pool. She has heard that there are problems there and wants the problem addressed. Evidently the gangs are claiming the east and west ends of the pool and she is concerned about her son's safety.
Citizen says she has been trying since beginning of December to get cable tv service. Says she has called TCI (including Scott Cooley and "Larry") and none of her phone calls are returned. Says all they will tell her is that they'll leave a doorhanger when they're ready. She's concerned about storm warnings etc, and thinks she should be able to get cable now, or at least a response from TCI.
Mr. Norris believes the city needs to understand the value of the feedmill on 2nd street.
Mr. Brunetti has problem with Neighborhood Dev. reg: inspections. Lives in NW IND., didn't know about compliance of insp. until this year. Problem: he feels that HAND is forcing him to either take day off, or hire someone to manage properties for him to meet inspections. He said he spoke to Susie J. to make exception (to meet on Sat.'s), her response was 1) wasn't in budget, 2)noone wld probably meet then. He askes, "who is off M-F between hrs of 8a-5p?". (Owns Varsity Villa #428 & 375).
Would like to see a proposed walk added to Southeast Park. Increase mowing schedule of park.
