I believe the city's fiber company (Gigabit Now) has a covered hole near the fire hydrant at the end of our driveway. The green cover to this hole sits probably higher than some people think and the person that mows most of the lawns in our neighborhood must have ran over it and it broke into several pieces. It appeared to be low enough for that not to happen but it must have been higher than he thought. Now there is a decent sized hole with no cover as the other cover is irreparable. If it can be replaced for safety reasons we will be sure to let the lawn guy know to watch out for it. Thank you for your attention in this matter!

Difficult to exit 1405 South Rogers Street parking lot onto S Rogers due to line of site obstruction (bush) on the property 1409 S Rogers Street. Consider requiring trimming bush back to clear line-of-site for exiting parking lot of 1405 S Rogers Street. It is difficult to visualize traffic travelling northbound due to bush/obstructed view. In October, when fiber optic line was being laid in our neighborhood, the installers inadvertently ran it through our sewer line. A few days later, the breached line backed sewage into our house. We hired plumbers to snake and inspect the line and we were able to see the blockage was caused by the fiber optic line. The fiber optic installers created a patch around our sewer line, but we were stuck with a $700+ plumbing bill. We feel that the fiber optic line installers should reimburse us for the plumbing bill, but can’t connect with anyone. A guy named Mike Nally, who seemed to be a supervisor, took our info and pics of the problem and promised to pass them on, but we’ve never heard from anyone. Can you connect us to someone who can arrange for us to be reimbursed? I have tried to attach a photo of the bill as well as of the camera shots of the blocked sewer line.

Hello , During the month of December 2024, there was utility work done on my property while I was away for the winter break. When I returned, there was 1.5 feet of snow; however, since it has melted, I have seen the damage that was done to my front yard - see the attached photos. There are two holes in my lawn (photo on right) and the crew stained my limestone walkway (photo on left). Can you please send the utility company to repair these damages as soon as possible? I’m writing with deep concern about the potential impact of the fiber optic project at our home at 809 S. Stull Ave. On Nov. 25, a work crew moved heavy equipment onto our property and proceeded to operate with no advance warning or permission. We are currently out of town for the holiday, and a neighbor took the attached photo. We are astounded not only at the trespass, but also at the potential damage. We just spent significant money and time purchasing and planting bushes and several trees in the area where the crew was working. We are concerned also about our recently laid sewer line, and about the drilling of holes (see photo) directly next to a very large pin oak tree. We won’t be home and able to assess any damage ourselves until Dec. 8 but are anxious to hear from you ASAP about 1) recourse if there is damage to our property, and 2) city policy regarding work crews entering private property without warning or authorization.

Hello. The team laying the fiber cables dug up my front yard to lay the fiber. There are still cones and a pile of dirt in my front yard. I’d like to go ahead and repair the damage to my yard, but as the cones are still present, I’m not sure if the team is coming back to dig more. Please advise. Also, the team dug a hole in the street in front of my driveway. They filled it with gravel, but the gravel is starting to settle and there is now a depression in the street. Will this hole be properly repaired soon? Thank you.

This is an Envirosac of cement (concrete construction debris), likely left over from fiber optic installation one year ago. It is at the residence of 2809 E Daniel Street. It was a box of powdered cement, that naturally hardened into concrete, making it VERY heavy. I would like to know who to contact to remove this from the easement? Another neighbor asked the residents to please remove it, however they have not, and they likely do not think it is their place to do so since the fiber optic company fractured their driveway and did not take this box of cement with them when they repaired it. Can you please point me in the right direction. Photos included. Thank you!

A resident on the south side of Pine Meadows Drive asked me if there was anything that could be done about the brightness of the lights at the intersection of Rockport and Country Club. He said the light was really bright in his backyard, and that it was frustrating. I couldn't think of who to reach out to, but I was wondering if there was any way something could be added to shield the extra light that is apparently beaming into his backyard? I know lighting the intersection is important, but hopefully there is a way to light the intersection without lighting up his backyard. Thanks!

There is a construction sign that was left in our yard from some work that was being done in the neighborhood awhile ago. I think it had to do with laying fiber, but I'm not sure. Can this sign be picked up?
