I had called the sanitation dept phone number this morning as our yard waste can wasn't collected this week. After listening the to the message about yard waste on the phone automated machine I realized I wasn't sure if pumpkins were collected or if I was over weight on the re usable can. I called to connect to a representative and I regret I didn't get the gentleman's name at aprox 0755 am on 4 dec. He was extremely helpful and I was looking for a place to leave a compliment for dept employees. I don't want to say the bar is low because it devalues my intent but I really appreciate the person answered the phone promptly, inquired into my problem, and immediately offered a solution all while being polite and professional. I wanted to say thanks and thank the employee for their civil service. I'd prefer this not be part of public record or anonymized if used as such. Furniture and glass were thrown from an apt at the Stageyard last night. There is large debris and broken glass all over the alley behind their building.

There has been an abandoned cloth-upholstered couch degrading in the front lawn of 1208 S Woodlawn Ave for several weeks. There seems to be no indication of an intention to remove the couch any time soon. The couch may be attracting nuisance wildlife and be a source of mold, etc as it is directly exposed to the elements. The couch is also visibly a trash-waste item and it needs to be either placed inside the home or removed from the property instead of being placed on the side of the road for weeks.

Hi, I live at the end of a cul-de-sac and every week trash/recycling truck goes in reverse (direction of my yard) to complete turn. The back of truck has ran into my yard three times now over the last few months creating a huge divot. I work hard to keep my front yard looking nice. I didn’t complain the first two times. Instead I went out of my way to add dirt, grass seed, and straw. I am pretty fed up now. I would appreciate it if the city repairs damage and prevents this from happening again.
