CONSTANCE AND ROBERT CLIFTON STATED THAT THEY CALLED CBU CONTROL AT 8:45 P.M. ON AUG. 28TH AND AT 6:30 A.M. ON AUG. 29TH TO REPORT A PROBLEM TO ANIMAL CONTROL. (THE ANIMAL CONTROL DEPT. PHONES ARE ANSWERED BY UTILITIES DURING OFF HOURS.) THEY STATED THAT THEY DID NOT RECEIVE A CALL BACK FROM ANIMAL CONTROL AND DIDN'T THINK THAT UTILITIES CONTROL REPORTED THE CALL.
Why has the construction project on West 17th not been completed? Don't tell me it is behind schedule. I want specifics.
I received a phone call from a resident of the Near West Side neighborhood, who wanted the City to know how much he appreciated the Brighten B-Town crew that was recently working on his street. They cleaned up the yard in front of a vacant home and edged and cleaned the cracks in the sidewalks up and down the block. The resident frequently walks in his neighborhood, and has noticed improvements throughout. Kudos to the Public Works department!
requesting feedback: Today is Monday Jan. 15,2018 and I cannot complete some of my personal errands due to weather conditions on the streets and sidewalks.First, my mail has been delayed since Saturday from the incoming snow storm. I noticed the sidewalks were not shoveled and some places were not salted nor were some of the streets were not plowed either. I am just bringing some of the few things to this office's attention because this delays all my daily personal errands like paying bills,etc. I look forward to hearing a positive feedback from this office. It is unfortunate that city employees cannot fulfill snow-plowing jobs when there are plenty of "homeless citizens" looking for work/employment that would have look forward to plowing the streets of Bloomington,Indiana. Your construction on the city of Bloomington is awful I would like to mention that it is almost impossible to get anywhere. I leave half an hour before work which would normally be a 10min drive and still end up late on some days. Is it really necessary to have all major roads worked on at the same time?
This morning when I went to bring in my trash and recycling containers I noticed that my trash had not yet been picked up. I do see, however, that all of my neighbors have brought in their containers. I only have about one small grocery bag of trash per week, but it is still in the bottom of my trash can. As I am required to pay for this service weekly, is it possible to have my bill reduced this month as I have not received the service? thank you, Cynthia Ramlo

Dear Madam or Sir, I am writing to complain about two issues: 1) While delivering new garbage and recyclable disposer containers, the truck broke my mailbox. 2) Seems like they delivered a defective recyclable disposer container. One of the wheels fell off. I picked it up and pushed it back in several times. Now, during a pickup - that wheel just disappeared. Perhaps it fell inside the truck. Please help. The Water hydrant at 7th and Spring Street has been neglected for years. I asked the Utilities Department to fix it last year, but nothing has been done about it. Can you get it painted before the election?
