Winslow Sports Park

Case Date:

Is there a reason for city vehicles to be parked each morning in the secluded section of the parking lot for an hour or more, often with engines running? Vehicle #495 is in the lot almost every morning.

Smith Rd & Morningside Dr

Case Date:
9/5/2024

A collapsed metal drainage culvert is a risk of injury to people and animals walking on the north side of E Morningside near N Smith Road. A 7 inch wide hole in the pavement above the east end of the 60 year old metal culvert is becoming larger. A similar culvert collapse near the west end of this culvert was partially repaired in recent years. Best practice may be to replace the decayed metal with plastic or other durable material.

S Smith Road and E 3rd St

Case Date:
6/18/2025

City of Bloomington showed up to cut trees from this property. They parked in the lot without permission and they blocked an entrance to the lot with their trucks. Time and time again the City is doing things on this corner either without permission of the property owners and/or without advance notice. There are operating businesses on this corner and this is private property. Blocking an entrance to a business is completely unacceptable.

S Pete Ellis Dr

Case Date:
2/19/2026

I read in the paper that 50+ trees are going to be removed by INDOT to widen the intersection at Pete Ellis and 10th St. We are a tree city and have been so for over 40 years. I hope the city is planning to work with the state on hopefully being able to save some of these beautiful 50+ year old trees. Yes, the intersection needs to be improved but hopefully a creative solution can be found. Please work together to think creatively about how to solve this issue. We greatly value our trees in Bloomington. Thank you!

Rogers & Patterson

This could apply anywhere in Bloomington, frankly, as it's a persistent issue, so I just picked the intersection where I experienced it most recently. Every single time I drive in Bloomington after the sun goes down, I'm met with drivers who fail (or just refuse) to dim their brights. Ind. Code ยง 9-21-8-51 is still on the books. I'd suggest posting signage along busier roads, but based on how often Btown drivers ignore the "One-Way" and "No Turn On Red" signs, I doubt it would work anyway. If the city has any ideas on a community education measure or infrastructure project that would help remind drivers that, yes, leaving your brights on while encountering another driver/pedestrian IS still against the law - that would be cool.

Potholes: on Rockport Rd starting at the stoplight by the southern hills church to graham Rd. People swerve to miss the potholes they are deep and it's dangerous. Please fill in these potholes. This is very highly traveled road. The potholes being filled would be very appreciated.

On the trail at 1st street, near Hopscotch

Case Date:

This is admittedly a minor issue, but why in the world has this sign been posted on the trail, outside, in late December 2024? Weird!

N Crescent Rd

Case Date:
2/24/2026

While I was driving along N Crescent Rd, a sanitation worker who was on the opposite side of the street suddenly stepped out into the middle of the road directly in front of my vehicle and motioned for me to stop. There was no prior warning, traffic control device, or signal indicating that traffic needed to halt. The sudden action required me to brake unexpectedly to avoid a potentially dangerous situation. Abruptly entering an active traffic lane without clear warning created a serious safety risk for both myself and the worker

Bloomington firefighters

Case Date:

The Bloomington Firefighters stated that a membership has been bought for them at Planet Fitness, and that they use the firetruck for transport to this facility with permission. Is this the taxpayers money being used for personnel transport and membership fees?

So you guys are sanctuary city which like every other city cry if you think you're cheated out of tax money you scream and throw a tantrum. But you welcome thousand thousands of helical elements to Bloomington with your hand wide open in between though and temper tantrum. So here's my issue we know they can't get a driver's license yet you see hundreds if not thousands of Mexicans new to the state driving now, which are unable to receive a driver's license and yet you guys are just nicely looking the other way. I saw a wreck yesterday or one of them took off after the rep because they didn't have a driver's license this is unacceptable behavior from the city you guys need to address it
