We are having problems with scooters driving on the sidewalk, we would like this parking area removed, it takes valuable space for store sandwich signs (businesses are already struggling) and encourages sidewalk use of scooters. Thank you,

The right side of the street has no parking signs that can't be seen and no part of the curb is yellow. Starting at the first house as it curves numerous cars like to park at night on that side going up to spring Street. From the first house up 2 the first stop sign have people. Parking on the no parking side. We've asked them 2 stop, but maybe because this is a dead end street the city hasn't addressed the brush blocking the signs And no yellow curbs. My girlfriend hit a truck parked illegally at night last week. Sorry. To ramble but we need this addressed B4 someone gets hurt/ and or winter gets here

S High Street between E Meadow Bluff Ct and Wimbleton
- Case Date:
- 4/24/2025
A year has passed since I wrote this (closed case #188144):
'The orange barriers along the sidewalk on S High Street between Wimbleton and E Meadowbluff Ct still have not been removed and remain a big eyesore. I was told that Duke Energy needs to do something there before they can be removed. I bet it has been 2 years now that those barriers have been there. Isn't it time that Duke did what they need to do in order for them to be removed?!
The, by now faded, barriers are still there a year later. When will this eyesore disappear?

The City has run an over-sized pruner along the sidewalk of our backyard, tearing up the ground and my flowers next to the sidewalk (depicted by the yellow circle in the picture). A piece of fence picket (blue arrow) of our neighbor's 2 houses away was torn down and thrown behind our fence. Our next door neighbor's hostas plants were also damaged. I don't know how the City can revive our plants, but the muddy sidewalk and the hanging clippings need to be cleaned up.
We have been keeping our section of the sidewalk clear and clean. We appreciate the City trying to clear the entire length of the sidewalk, however an appropriate machinery needs to be used so as not to do more damage than good. The crew had done a very poor job in this case. I hope no heavy pruning machine will be used on the sidewalk in the future, especially after the City had just repaired these cracked sidewalk.
