Sidewalk & Curb Complaints

200 E Kirkwood/Posh Hotel

Case Date:
7/31/2025

The sidewalk adjacent to the brick sidewalk, in front of the hotel, gradually increases in height and is a tripping hazard. It needs to be marked with a stripe or something. I recently tripped over it, banging up my knee and breaking my glasses. Please fix. Thanks!

This tree is near my house and this branch fell across the side walk with the last heavy rain. The tree needs either trimming or removing as it continues to have fallen branches. I have picked up smaller pieces and moved the larger one onto the side. If someone is passing they could get injured.

Requesting resurfacing of road and sidewalk. Sidewalk comes partially on Roosevelt up till the house next to fire station and should be extended. Resurfacing is way overdue with countless potholes patched and re-patched over the years. We pay too much in taxes. Please help.

I’m following up on 204624, which I reported last week. I was happy to see that a railing had been installed with 48 hours of my filing the complaint, and I know my complaint had nothing to do with the railing getting installed. I’m asking that the city pay more attention to these uneven sidewalks and require property owners to mark them with paint, cones or, in the best case scenario, railings. The uneven sidewalks seem to be likely a violation of the ADA. There was a similar situation in front of Sweet Greens before they finally installed a railing, and there is still a similar situation in front of CVS on Kirkwood. Thank you.
