We were at the park Tuesday morning July 4th for a morning walk. We entered by the community garden and walked down the paved path to the BLine trail. We observed 4 transients in the area and camping out in both pavilions. It was fairly early and it appeared they had slept in the park. Is this a common problem?? We are seniors and visit a lot of city parks regularly but are having concerns with safety. So much brushy areas also around paths. The men didn’t approach us and did keep to themselves.

The playground at butler park is rusting and falling apart. It would be great to see some repairs or replacement of that equipment.
