The condition of Miller Shower park is getting worse day by day. It was clean and beautiful last fall but now it is covered with water plants and getting worse. Is it due to lack of funds that there is not maintenance?
Please cover over the old tennis lines on your pickleball courts. Having both sets of lines are confusing. Also, could wind clothes be added to lessen impact of wind. Due to COVID, more people are using this facility. Because of the nature of the restroom there, it is closed. Could a portable restroom be added to this location. There is not an easy way to replace this necessary need. In addition, is it possible to convert other tennis courts in the city to pickleball courts? Thanks for your consideration, Victoria Lee
Many of us older citizens play pickle ball at this park whenever the weather allows, like this past weekend when it was 47 degrees but sunny. There are just 2 dedicated courts and 2 others with both tennis and pickle ball lines making it very difficult to call lines. We would love for that court to be re-lined so it is just with pickle ball lines. Also, it would be nice to have another court dedicated to just pickle ball since there are many other tennis courts around the city and no other pickle ball ones except at Switchyard Park. Also, a portable toilet would be nice and wind cloths that prevent the wind from over-riding the game shots. My son was arrested and his vehicle was left over there. It is in my name and I am in the process of trying to get him to release the key to someone so we can get it moved so I am asking if you could please not tow it without contacting me first at shannadhall1969@gmail.com or 8123607958. My goal is to have it out of there by Wednesday if you will allow me to work on it. I have been trying since he was put in jail.
Not enough pickle ball courts. I went on Sunday and 15 people were waiting continually for two hours. It causes an issue because people are sitting on the courts. Also, it can be frustrating for them to have to wait so long to play it would be nice if the city would create more Pickleball courts. This is a very popular sport and has been for many years. I’ve tried to play a Park Ridge in East. This is not a solution. It took 20 minutes to put up the net. I had to find a way to get the combination to the lock. It took another 15 minutes to take it down and put it all away. The lines are confusing, so my group has decided not to play there.
I have encountered the security service truck several times while walking on the trail at RCA Park and the windows are tinted so that you cannot see who is inside the truck. This makes me feel unsafe.

Last two Sundays Switchyard park especially the playground has been covered in trash. The best part is that there have been multiple parks employees standing around some "picking up trash" in the same small area for long periods of time. Not sure if this is a "not my job" situation but it really wouldn't take much time if employees showed motivation in cleaning up the park.
