One can see that this lamp on the NE corner of the picnic area on Hopewell Commons has one of its pair of lights out. You might want to have the contractor replace this obviously faulty bulb.
I have two specific incidents with photos and videos at Hopewell Park. The particular image I have attached is from 8 o’clock this morning Thursday, September 4. I parked at the Hopewell Park. I see a male and female individual that had camped out underneath one of the two concrete ping-pong tables, I assume all night. They were just getting up, They had been asleep under the table. The adjacent ping pong table was covered with blankets for whatever reason making it in accessible for use. The parking space adjacent to the two ping-pong tables had a van with one individual in it, and two sitting on the cement walls in front of it. It was obvious they were living in this van. I came back through the area on my lunchtime break, and the van had not moved, people still sitting in the van and beside it, I came back through the park again at 5 o’clock on my way home from work, and the van was still sitting in the same location with two individuals sitting outside at. The couple that had everything thrown out on the ping-pong tables was gone this evening at 5 o’clock. My husband and I went there last week to the farmers market and were harassed by a very large group of approximately 13 on house people that were sleeping on the picnic tables, sitting on the swings. We purchased pizza and lemonade Shake up from the vendors at the farmers market, and there was no place for us to sit and enjoy it because this group of individuals had bags, blankets, personal items, Strewn all over the the area. There were two individuals asleep on the table benches. I have videos of all of this. I did report it and share the videos with the parks department liaison that was there for farmers market. Her name was Camille. My husband and I would like to take our grandson to the area and our grandchildren to play ping-pong. I do not feel comfortable with a toddler around the area in fear. There are residual needles and trash from the individuals that appeared to have slept there overnight and hang out there. The fourth incident I would like to report is a small group of individuals were in the park this Tuesday, September 1 and one was practicing some type of karate or something with a long stick that looks dangerous. Again, I would not take our family there around this situation And these groups of people that are intimidating with their words, their actions and all of their belonging spread out around the entire seating areas . There has been a burnt plastic smell in 9th Street park for months during business hours. I finally caught Bloomington iron & metal in the act. They are using some sort of torch or arc cutter to cut painted metal and it is burning off the enamel as they go. It has pretty much ruined 9th st park. I'm sure this isnt you guys' responsibility, but its your problem (sorry). Thanks! The photo was taken from the b line, and in person the cloud of smoke is very visible.

The same group of people is claiming and staying in the gazebo at the Building and Trades park every single day. They are there from open to close, sometimes sleeping on the ground as if it is their personal camp site. Nobody else has a chance to use the shelter because this group is there the entire time the park is available for use. This was a problem last year, and the group referred to the park as their "turf" during an altercation with my neighbors. My house was recently broken into, and it concerns me to know that there are people who can just sit there all day and see exactly when we are coming or going. I don't mind people using the park (because public use is the purpose of a park), but I think it is unreasonable for one group of people to practically live in the park and claim the shelter every day, to the exclusion of other park users. It would be helpful if they could inhabit a different park - or just be somewhere else - on at least some days.

A section of the wood fence at the Howe St entrance to the Buildings and Trade Park was taken down when the city cut down one of the trees along the street. It has been 2 months and the pieces of the fence are still where they were left on the ground. In true broken window fashion someone has now broken down the far end of the fence. This should have been repaired long ago.
There are some very large holes on the north side, but almost centered on the large playing field. They are hidden from sight by the grass growing over them, but some are big enough for a foot/leg to fall into (as it happened today!) I assume an animal is busy digging these, but I know the city has filled them before, it would be great if someone could fill them again! Thanks so much!
