1) Why are white and orange circles sprayed up the slope between the basketball court and the picnic shelter? 2) is it true that ragweed can not be mowed along the east and west sides of the stream that joins Sheridan Creek? A guy pruning bald cypress told me that, but I know that some years it is kept under better control. I don't think mowing closer will endanger the plentiful jewel weed, senna, cup flowers, blue mist flower, etc.
All but one of the four hoops need new nets.
A board is broken on the wooden walkway at Bryan Park that goes from near the bathrooms to the east on the trail that cuts through the middle of the park. The wooden boardwalk/ramp is south of the basketball courts and east of Henderson near the bathrooms in the park. It looks quite dangerous for kids and adults alike.
Water fountain is leaking
The tops of the swings chains were all assembled with bolts that are too small, which prevents the nuts from fully attaching. I discovered this by finding one of the nuts on the ground, so I looked up at the connection point and the bolt had no nut and was unsecured. I would highly recommend reattaching the swings at the top with longer bolts and lock nuts. In order to prevent injury, I have fully disconnected this side of the swing and left all hardware attached. Thanks!
The back of the Bryan Park sign has rotted off. It is the Bryan Park sign that is on Henderson at the upper parking lot.
I forgot to report this a week ago. A picnic table from the Woodlawn Shelter was out in the park. Walk west north west from the Woodlawn Shelter and you'll see it.
A water fountain has become stuck, unusable in current state.
My family and I went to the concert in the park last night (8/11/19) at Bryan Park. My two year old daughter needed her diaper changed while we were at the event. I was shocked and hugely disappointed in the city when I realized that there are no diaper changing stations in the public restrooms...at a park/playground no less! I had two choices, lay my daughter on the dirty floor of a public restroom or lay in her grass at busy event to change her diaper. We parked to far away for it to be reasonable for me to walk all the way back to our car to change her. I can't believe that it's 2019 and the public restrooms (women's and MEN'S) at our city parks aren't equipped with this basic item. Time to step it up Bloomington.
