Despite all of the spraying for teasel, a large patch remains beside the southernmost chimney swift tower.

I found the metal sign for not smoking in the children's play area ripped off and left along Longview Avenue. I brought it up to the play area and put it under the oak tree along the SW edge of the park. There I also found two wood rails that might have been the base for the sign, and a fresh hole.
Large dog park at Switchyard. You guys were so responsive to my recent report, I thought I would send you another one. You have at least 5 broken sprinkler heads that are leaking water. See attached file. I didn't walk the whole park. There may be others between the big hill and sun shade area. Otherwise park is great (once the mud hole is filled in)! Us dog owners love it. Thank you.
Tim, Re: uReport Case #204545. Thanks for the reply. Any update regarding the big mud hole getting filled in, drain added, fenced off, or something? IMHO just fencing it off would be the easiest and cheapest solution. We (me and other regular dog park visitors) were hoping it would get done when the was park closed for 2 days. Apparently that was just to spray Roundup, which for what it's worth, was not well received by the regular dog park visitors. As one person said, "Who cares about weeds in a dog park?". Thanks again for your work. Everyone I have ever met at the park (regular and newbies) all agree it is the best dog park! Thanks Jim
Winslow rec baseball was not held tonight due to field conditions- All others leagues around Bloomington, Ellettsville, and Smithville are on tonight! The fields At Ellettsville and Smithville are ran by volunteers to get the fields ready. Winslow has a city maintenance behind them and can not get them ready! This is disheartening for baseball players in Bloomington! Why can’t this problem be fixed? On field 4 has not been available to play on all week.

This hole needs a new, more substantial patch, maybe a heavy steel cover, like those used to cover holes on highways, smaller of course. Small kids were running across the split wood, one of them is going to get hurt or someone's foot is going to go through.
There are penises drawn on the large blue slide
The third swing is broken, the chain is not attached to the pole
There is a significant shortage of pickleball courts in the city, which has led to consistently overcrowded conditions at RCA Community Park and Switchyard Park. At the same time, there appears to be an overabundance of tennis courts relative to the number of residents actively participating in pickleball. When Hopewell Commons opened, there was genuine excitement in the community. Unfortunately, that enthusiasm quickly faded. Players have largely avoided these courts due to poor and, frankly, unusable conditions—particularly the net setup and, more importantly, the playing surface. The decision to install perforated tile flooring instead of a standard concrete surface has made the courts impractical for regular play. The ball will bounce at erratic angles and if you try to run the shoes willc catch the cracks between the tiles and cause a fall and injury. The surface quality significantly impacts gameplay and safety, to the point where players would rather wait 30–60 minutes for a court elsewhere than use these brand new establishment. Given the budget allocated for this development, it raises legitimate questions about how funds were spent (please share this), especially considering that the cost and requirements for building a standard, functional pickleball court are well understood. The end result at Hopewell Commons does not align with those expectations, and needs to be replaced by a proper concrete base flooring.
