Small dog is left outside in backyard of 500 S. Hawthorne all day and well into the night. The dog barks a lot, especially at night, and it's unclear whether anyone is present at home regularly. The dog used to get loose and run all over the neighborhood. It even bit a neighbor. This is a sadly neglected pet and should be saved from this cruel situation.
Street Department received a call about a deceased rabbit at Monroe and Orris
I almost hit a very young grey kitten (probably nursing age) while merging onto 69 south from 45/46 this morning at about 7:30. I'm not sure if the kitten was hit by a car as I was not able to stop. Concerned there are more in the area that could also end up on the interstate.
Someone moved a dead raccoon from the roadway to our yard, where it is currently decomposing. We are at 1300 E Hillside Drive, immediately east of the Hillside Church of Christ. The dead raccoon is currently under an ornamental tree in our front yard, on the west side of the lot, which is the side nearest the church's driveway. There is a dead skunk in the road in front of 508 N Indiana Ave. It keeps getting run over and is causing houses around the area to smell like skunk.
Black and white cat showed up. Neighbor started feeding it but it seems too groomed to be a stray - anyone report missing one?

I have a neighbor who is not picking up his dog's poop. His dog pooped, I asked "are you going to pick that up" he responded that he needed to go home and get a bag. I told him that there are poop bags near my condo dumpster, he walked over, and then flipped my off and did not pick up the dog poop. This happened at Howe & S. Madison. I was with 2 people who witnessed the interaction. There is dog poop in our neighborhood since this guy has been walking his dog on S. Madison. I do not know his name but his address is B112 South Madison. This is Madison Downtown apartments. His auto license is for a grey honda civic temporary place T438780. I see this guy everyday so it would be great if he would pick up his dog's poop. Thanks-Tracy
