Green County does not have an animal control- SAFE Animal Rescue inc in linton is a filthy building, one breaker controls the whole building, ventilation is dangerous. they do not clean properly with chemicals and have no MSDS books for the people that "works" They have aggressive dogs in the garage but let kids run in and out of the building. someone is going to get sick, or hurt
The Cat's are dying all the time.
They post they need money on their Facebook but their volunteers say they are not putting the money to take care of the animals. They are abused and left all day unattended while the board members work, even when the president is there she is not taking care of the animals in the building.
I did not know who else to contact- I have contacted the Sullivan animal shelter a few times but one of their board members Rebbecca Carmichael removes the complaints because she is on the board at safe. I have also reached out to GCHS but there is personal issues between them and safe that they will not get involved. They presidents husband is a police officer out there, so trying to call them does no go either.

The following complaint was also sent to the city for the trash issue. I am sending it to you about the animal issues mentioned.
Thank you

The houses listed above continually have a buildup of trash in their yard.
614 West Allen
The yard looks like a junk yard.
The continuous supply of trash lying around has attracted pests and dogs to dig in to it. So garbage gets all over the neighborhood. One of the pests that the trash is attracting is skunks. My dog has been sprayed once and I have had a few close calls. This past Saturday a pit bull came out of a large pile of trash and kept barking at me and my infant soon trying to defend his treasure.
This is my second complaint about trash in this neighborhood (the first time was just about 702). I wish to stay anonymous about my complaints so I don’t make enemies out of my neighbors, especially the ones that own their houses. So please help me resolve this problem.
Thank you,
Eric Brown

The family of beavers appear to have moved into the detention pond on Tapp Rd. and South Adams Street. They have leveled several trees and are plugging up both the inlet for the neighborhood drainage and the outlet which allows the water to leave the pond. They have stuffed they incoming water pipe very full and water is backing up on the north side of west Adams Hill. This issue appears to be getting worse by the day.

For the past 2 days one of my neighbors dogs has been outside barking/howling has no shelter form of shelter, no access to food and water, neighbors haven't been there or haven't been there long enough to take care of him. His dog cable has been caught up in twigs and such so its all tangled up. Its not the first time this has happen back during the summer they did this to him. I think someone should seriously check into this. He was in the pouring down rain today, and its now getting cold because of temp. dropping. Please have someone check on him! the address is 918 N Woodburn Ave. he is chained to the back porch. Thanks!

my dog was attacked by my neighbor's loose husky three times in a long block while they were unable to catch or restrain the dog. I believe this dog to be dangerous and aggressive, and I do not believe it should be off leash at any time. I am a cancer patient and do not have the power to fight off an aggressive animal, and do not believe I should have to stop walking in my neighborhood to accommodate this animal. I complained by letter to the owners immediately after the incident (I have oral cancer and I can not speak). They told me the dog is not aggressive, so clearly, they do not understand my point of view, and doubtless, do not intend to keep the animal restrained. Please contact me by email for the address, thank you for your assistance.
