uReport: Case #207742: I did not expect that the city to plow my sidewalks. I had done it myself but they dumped the street snow on the sidewalk that I had already plowed. I am not asking for favor. I am requesting that the city cleans the mess that the crew created for me. Please.
Olde Mill Drive is a culdesac. I contacted u report on Monday and received a reply concerning snow removal. I have cleared my drive and shoveled around our mailbox and into the street so that we might be able to exit our drive to travel to the store for needed food supplies and medical prescriptions. We understand that critical roadways have to be cleared as a priority, but in order to safely exit our property the amount of snow in the street is restricting exit. In the past a smaller vehicle was used to at least push the snow to the side or off the street because the larger plow could not perform in this tight area ( the vehicle was a pickup truck with a snow blade attached). We understand that this type vehicle may no longer be in the city inventory, therefore perhaps an application of salt could be used to help knock down the remining snow mounds in our street. We need assistance in resolving this issue as soon as possible, so we can safely exit our property. Again, we wish to Thank the City Crews for all their work and understand this is and continues to be a significant winter event and respectfully request attention to this matter. Windfree Lane - I have not seen a city plow truck on it since the storm. Seems a neighbor has plowed it, but there is no sand on it. With it being so steep, sand would be helpful if that could happen. Thanks!
I reside on the 300 block of south Madison. With the closure of south college street Madison has become an alternative route for those choosing to not use the suggested detour on south rogers. The traffic is way up but the road remains in poor condition due to the snow. If you guys get a chance to make a couple of more passes with plows it would certainly help. This portion of Madison is currently much busier than normal. Access to the hotel and convention center is adding to the uptake of traffic. Thank you.
The entire length of S Monon Drive appears to have gone unsalted or at least minimally so. Is there a chance you guys can get to it today before people start street parking again for the evening? Thank you for all your hard work!
Snow is blocking our mailboxes at 733, 739, and 745 E Winslow Farm Drive. I dug out part of it on the road island for 739 and 745, but a large pile is preventing the mail truck from getting close to the mailboxes.
I'm requesting a plow truck and the end of 1100 S Park Ave (as it dead ends into Bryan Park). Y'all did it fine, but the snow removal squad for the apartment next door snow blowed all their stuff into the street.
The snow removal truck pushed the snow off the street/Cul de Sac up beside our mailbox, blocking it from access by the USPS carrier. The snow bank is head high and packed tightly. I am 89 years old and cannot shovel it away and others to hire can’t either. The plow truck driver is not getting the job done correctly. This is not the first time this has happened but this time it will be a long time before it melts.
Please remove snow from the sidewalk at olcutt where parents drop Off kids to Jackson creek. Sidewalk is not done beyond the entrance to the park
