Weeds in the sidewalks & curb line from Walnut to Henderson some are three feet tall.
Empty lots on alley between Monroe and Summit have not been mowed all summer. Neighbors have called before.
The police dispatch got a call saying the line of sight is bad at Woodlyn & Curry.
NE Corner of 1st and Walnut. You might also look around 2nd street. Lisa called me with this one.
Alley between Washington and Lincoln off of First Street is totally overgrown, making it almost impossible to go from First to Wylie this way. My 90 year old parents live at First and Washington and we use this alley!
The house at 800 S. Fess Ave. has the most overgrown backyard in the area. 5 foot tall weeds, scrap lumber, stacks of rocks and junk are in this yard, visible from the alley between Henderson and Fess off of First Street.
Tall weeds on vacant lot corner of Gourley Pike and Cascades Ave.
The sidewalks on South High Street are being obstructed by low-hanging tree branches. These branches hang 3-5 feet above the sidewalks and may be hazardous to walkers and runners. They demand constant ducking and dodging, perhaps even into the street in some cases. The leaves conceal hard branches beneath them, and I have seen several walkers and runners hit their heads.
The house at 904 E. University has weeds that are overgrown. This yard has not been mowed all summer. It is unsightly and obstructs a portion of the sidewalk. There is even poison ivy growing right next to the sidewalk.
2611 Round Hill Lane, Bloomington. I understand the City cannot do anything about the overgrown lawn at this address because of the litigation the home owner has filed. But could you at least remove the dead trees and/or limbs that are blocking the sidewalk and could potentially fall on my car? I would think city code 12.24.040 would cover this problem. Additionally, the property owner cut tree limbs from his roof line, left them to drop in a pile so that if the dry conditions return we have a neighborhood fire hazard. I am so far beyond frustrated with this sitution. The property owner is getting a free ride in the litigation with the city, while our neighborhood would have to raise thousands to hire a lawyer and take this unreasonable man to court. I like being able to submit my complaint, but wish I could review my comments, but this web page won't let me scroll back. Please contact me if you have any questions.
