There is parallel parking in front of the St. Paul Catholic Center at 1413 E. 17th Street. The parking is between the two driveways. There is a line of sight problem as you try to exit either driveway. Schrader is requesting that two parking spaces be eliminated near the East driveway and one parking space next to the West driveway.
There is a line of sight problem for traffic going south on Nancy Street looking to the right on Hillside Drive. There is a utility pole that has weeds grown around it that is obstructing a driver's view. If the weeds, etc. are on private propery, Gliessman does not want us to persue. But if it is in City r-o-w, he would like us to take care of it. Please give him a call.
The northwest corner of Nancy Street and Hillside Drive is overgrown in the city's right of way. It is currently unsafe for any cars heading/and turning south on Nancy Street onto Hillside Drive. Please trim the trees and bushes for a safer intersection for pedestrians, drivers, and passengers. Thank you.
Trees obstructing intersection of Woodlawn and Hillside.
This is at the intersection of Pickwick and Winfield, heading east on Winfield. There is a stop sign at this intersection. Winfield is a busy road and there are many bicyclists use it as well. As you can see, the trees on the northwest corner of this intersection block all view of anyone heading south on Winfield. Please speak to the property owners about removing or cutting these trees on the corner. Thank you.
Overgrown bush blocks visibility to the west
On the southeast corner of Wilson St. & Lincoln St., the curb is partially painted yellow, but the paint does not extend all the way to the corner. Because of this, there is a vehicle that regularly parks right on the corner. This makes it nearly impossible to check for oncoming northbound traffic on Lincoln St. when you are traveling westbound on Wilson St. I would like to request that the city paint the curb yellow all the way to the corner and possibly add appropriate signage. There are tree branches that are hanging down on the northeast corner of Jordan Ave. & Maxwell Lane. It is difficult for people going south on Jordan looking to the east on Maxwell Lane.
Tall weeds and flowers block the view when pulling out of the drive-way. Compliance officer also has permission to walk through 1398 W. 8th Street.
