Citizen (Mark Land) apparently contacted Utilities before but was not satisfied with the response-- he missed a water payment because he was on vacation and is upset that the situation cannot immediately be fixed. He already paid the past due balance, but water was shut off. He was told it could be turned back on by 6 or by tomorrow, and he just wants it on sooner rather than later. Call (812) 272-1500. I deliver papers in the Gentry Honors neighborhood. There may be a water line break/leak near the intersection of Fenbrook and Sara, just past the stop sign. It's near a new home construction but beside an empty lot. There is a layer of ice about 5 inches thick and covering a portion of the street to the storm drain. It appears to be coming from the grassy/wooded area but is not normal runoff from rain, I think--I've never seen that much water run and it's getting bigger by the day. Just wanted to lyk in case it's a city water issue.
