Citizen says City has shown poor planning by closing off College Ave right when all the students have come back, and when 4th street is also closed for a project. Why couldn't this have been done earlier in the summer when traffic wasn't so bad? College is one of the busiest streets in town and this should have been anticipated and planned better. I've lived in this neighborhood for over 20 years, and the city put a hazard sign on the sidewalk months/years ago, but nothing else has been done to correct the problem, which can be quite dangerous at night
For weeks, the contractor doing the concrete curb work at Miller and Henderson has left a deep drop off as you head westbound on Miller to the stop sign unprotected. Of course they have plenty of barrels everywhere else where they filled in the cuts, but not at this the worst one. And every city utility worker coming to and fro from the Miller garage drives right by it.
Road closed signs are knocked over and are in the southbound lane of Woodlawn.
Subsidence of manhole cover. (Water) I have seen no less than 3 people stumble due to 1/2" drop. Maybe bevel edge of brick.
