Can the City not require the Indiana Railroad to install some type of flashing light, larger warning sign or something to help prevent this from happening? There has been an increasing amount of trucks hitting this bridge, at least 6 in the past year that I'm aware of.
When the new apartment opened, there was no spaces included for parking. So now the occupants park on driscoll and block east bound traffic from Walnut to Washington. It is very dangerous to people that turn onto Driscaoll and are met with oncoming traffic. On sunday nights when other residents put out the trash and recycle, it is even worse.
Resident called in about the trash located on this property.
Can the City explain how a driver of a vehicle is supposed to see cross-traffic on 7th Street from Morton without being in the crosswalk and almost in the intersection? I was headed north on Morton and came to the intersection at 7th where cross traffic now does not stop on 7th. The buildings, trees, and other clutter to either side of the intersection make it very dangerous to see bicycles and traffic coming on 7th Street. I had to completely block the pedestrian crosswalk and approach the intersection to feel safe about my assessment of cross traffic. This is a very bad design. The entire 7th Street project seems poorly conceived and designed. I have witnessed multiple people driving in the bike lanes. Was the budget so low that stop signs and "traffic keep left" signs were not affordable and we ended up with this mess to just make something work? There are a ton of safety issues I have witnessed. Someone is going to get hurt soon it seems, or taken out by a bus mirror.
This sign needs more attention. I am not sure if it needs to be set up or removed.
Construction sign down. Odd placement, not sure if it fell or is awaiting pickup.
Just at the west end of the railing on the new sidewalk on W 14th street, there are two of those large, orange barrels you might see at a construction site. They've been there for a week or two at least. Would somebody come and pick them up? Thank you!
There are "bump-outs" with pipes extending up from the ground surrounding them. I imagine the purpose for these is to protect pedestrians. The only problem is that they extend into the street, causing pedestrians who would not normally be out into the street this far to be there, and also they make it dangerous for cars turning left on each of these (Walnut onto 14th, 14th onto College)because it narrows the turn access, and it also blocks the site of the driver. Why are we putting pedestrians out into the street? Seems like a dangerous situation to me. Thank you.
Yard waste, upholstered furniture, truck bed full of trash.
