Hello, I would like to draw your attention to an issue with item 6 of the e-scooter guidelines on the city website; "6. Park the scooter in a bike rack or in another lawful spot on public property that does not block the right-of-way, limit access for individuals with disabilities, risk damaging private or public property, or jeopardize public safety." E-scooters should not be parked “in a bike rack” as they do not require locking and have their own kick-stand support. When e-scooters are parked inside of bike racks they are blocking access to a vital space for cyclists. Parking e-scooters in bike racks causes the same inconvenience to cyclists as parking e-scooters in the middle of a sidewalk causes to pedestrians. Failing to notice this basic issue feels like the city of Bloomington has forgotten or decided to ignore the needs of cyclists. I ask that the wording in the e-scooter guidelines be changed to ensure that bike racks are reserved for bikes and other vehicles that require locking, and proper notice be given to e-scooter users about this change. The B-line trail, between Tapp Road and Grimes, there is a lengthy u-shaped detour. It is covered in large rocks that make it nearly impossible to navigate on a road bike (my bike tires are 25mm). Several times I have nearly fallen over as the rocks engulf my small tires. I am a female bike commuter. I commute to the hospital at 6:30am and come home at 7:30pm. I no longer feel safe riding the trail due to the hazards of this rocky detour. I am at risk for either taking a significant fall or puncturing a tire. This makes me vulnerable. Please, either pack down the large rocks or cover this detour with a tarp.

At 900 W Kirkwood Ave, in front of the gates at our company, there seems to be a continuous pooling/running of water right at the sidewalk. It runs into the road and then east on the street. With colder weather coming, our concern is it freezing and causing more problems.

hello. i'm confused about when yard waste pickup happens. for the last three mondays (my pickup day is monday) i have put my yard waste out but it hasn't been picked up (and no notice has been left indicating that there's a reason why it can't be picked up). has yard waste pickup not been happening? i unfortunately can't keep bringing it in and out, so i've left it out for now. thanks for looking into this issue!

I'm writing about the lighting situation on N Rosewood. Along this road, the street lights are sparse, and the distance between the street lights sometimes covers two blocks. The light seems to be dimmer, not sure if this is due to the tree branches blocking the lights or the lights are failing. Considering a decent amount of traffic on this road (due to the high school and a corporate building nearby), it is both inconvenient and sometimes unsafe for residents (especially kids) to walk in that area after sunset (when it's almost pitch dark). Would it be possible to install a few more lights in between the existing ones, or check existing lights to increase brightness.

I'm an IU Bloomington student who walks to the stadium everyday to take the IU buses to class. There are no sidewalks on my walk from Brownstone Terrace to the stadium which forces me to walk on the side of the road, where student drivers who don't pay attention swerve around me at the last second. Additionally when the weather is bad, I'm even forced to walk in the road, putting myself at risk to get hit by a car. I'm also proposing more off campus lighting & would love to meet with someone about these issues to come up with an effective plan. It's unsafe walking home from a late night class or to an early morning class & not being able to see your surroundings. Some of the city lights don't even work. If more light poles were installed, it would reduce the off campus crime rate. The city of Bloomington, not IU, is reponsible to address these issues because it's there property.

This morning around 8:30 the SW corner of Maxwell Lane and Woodlawn. Four scooters were set up out of the way. The other two blocked the sidewalk. I moved those two in between the other four. I did---so could a "juicer." Thanks.

The intersection of Atlee and Winston has several potholes and areas that need to even out. What was patched in the past is not holding up and is detoritating. It needs a new layer of asphalt.

(Sorry if you got this already---no indication that I was done and steps 4-6 are yours) In Walnut, just south of the PO. Pedestrian had stopped, looking at them. Curious? Annoyed?
