I have a 10 year daughter and a 12 year old son. There are many younger kids in this neighborhood one of which has autism. Many cars throughout the day and night drive too fast around the curve on this road. I'm afraid that a child will be hit by a car. It would be great if a speed bump could be installed here since speed limit signs are not being adhered to.
why has thr center line not been painted on morton? the paving has been done for a long time
In the morning from 7-9 the traffic gets extremely backed up on Kinser Pike coming from the North, the neighborhoods and the school buses from the High School. The left turn signal, to turn on to 45/46, is extremely short, less than 10 seconds I would say, and then it's extremely hard to turn left on green as there are lots of cars coming across the intersection. Is there any way to make this turn signal longer for at least those 2 hours in the morning? Traffic is sometimes backed up all the way to the Skate Park, which is on a curve so that is very dangerous. You round the blind curve and all of a sudden there is stopped traffic. Ever since the 4-way Stop signs were added to the intersection of Kirkwood and Madison, it has become more dangerous for pedestrians to cross Kirkwood. I live at the corner of this intersection and cross several times a day on foot, taking my school to school, shopping, etc. Individual cars may stop but never both cars going in each direction on Kirkwood. We find ourselves in the middle of the intersection constantly with a car stopped going east but another zipping through going west. I understand why the extra Stop signs were added: there were car accidents on occasion. Now thanks to this well-intended addition we can't cross safely as pedestrians because people only think about where THEY'RE going, not that both east and west moving vehicle have to stop at the SAME time to allow pedestrians to cross. So either revert back to having only stop signs going North and South on Madison or add a traffic light. This intersection has become infinitely more dangerous for residents and children who don't always look BOTH ways before crossing the street. This is URGENT especially now that school has started.
There is no paved sidewalk; it's just a bunch of horribly laid slabs of stone. How was this even allowed, especially in downtown?! This is not wheelchair accessible, and is dangerous to all others. Please put in a paved sidewalk here so wheelchaired people don't have to turn around and cross the street just to get by.
VERY disappointed in the new sidewalk curbs at 4th and Indiana. The curbs are to high for handicap individuals trying to correct they have made a mess of the new sidewalk areas. One sidewalk has been chipped significantly trying to correct. Very poor job.
Hi, There's a couple of large road cuts at the intersection of Lincoln and 6th St. If the city is not planning on filling these any time soon could we at least get the sharp edges softened? Sometimes I've seen this done and it makes road cuts much easier to drive over without damaging your tires. Thanks, Vickie Nelson Bloomington
Complaint of insufficient and unclear construction signage. Is making it difficult to get into parking lot where she works and sometimes forces her to take one way streets the wrong direction in order to access parking lot.
Please add a deer- crossing sign at the sharp curve on Old State Road 37. Cars speeding down the hill may not know how frequently deer run deer are present.
Traffic lights on 4th at 4th/College seem mis-timed, at least when I am driving east at 8:30 am. The College Ave lights, in front of Serendipity/Atlas, are red for about 7 seconds before the 4th St light turns green. The same light at 4th/Walnut turns at the expected time. I'm seeing people sneak through 4th/College some mornings because the one-way southbound College Ave traffic is so clearly stopped to our left.
