I am sensitive to the needs of the unhoused and the city needs to be doing much more to protect them and provide them safe living spaces, but it is frustrating to me that I cannot walk my dog in any of the parks near me (Bryan park, switchyard) without feeling unsafe because of homeless people yelling at and following me. There are several spots along the Rail Trail (dirt/gravel section of the B-Line) where dirt has been dug up across the full width of the trail to build impromptu bike jumps. This has resulted is trip hazards and an uneven trail surface. I counted 2 spots where his had occurred during my visit yesterday. Can someone review and hopefully correct this please?
Damage from recent storm. Treekeeper Site ID 38515, Kentucky Coffeetree. Unsure as to integrity, so wanted to check, especially as the cuts were made by a passerby during the storm (as the downed branch was blocking Kirkwood traffic). More photos available to send, too.
Someone has set up what looks like a junk store on the east side of People's Park up against the bike shop wall.
Can you let your tree crew know there tree fell down during storm at Bryan park
The ADA accessible parking sign for Mills Poop is hidden by a tree branch and hard to see. The pool driveway to reach this parking space is also blocked off by orange traffic cones. Painting the curb light blue by the accessible parking sign would help make it more visible and accessible.
MAINTENANCE ISSUE: Uneven surface to the left of the kiddie pool entrance is a dangerous tripping hazard. Red paint is so faded as to be useless.
