Three very large pipes have been lying in my yard for over one week now. I believe that this is for a contracted public works project. I do not want to approach the workers during this public health crisis as they are not wearing face masks. I would like to be able to mow my lawn this weekend, and I do not feel that the lawn of an occupied house is the appropriate place to store construction equipment. I would like to request that the workers are instructed to remove the pipes from my lawn either today (Thursday, April 09, 2020) or tomorrow. In the event that this is not a water-related project, I would assume the city has permits on file to communicate with the appropriate party.
Construction debris that has been here for years
Broken sidewalk
I found 3 syringes in my back yard on Saturday morning. I did notify police dispatch, but wanted to also inform the city. We also had someone walk by the side of our house yesterday evening and got very alarmed when they saw us. Said they were cutting through to catch a ride. We live on a corner and there is no way it would have saved time. I am concerned safety wise, especially for my wife. I feel less sage then I did when I moved back to Bloomington 8 years ago.
The three street lights in front of my home at 930 W 2nd St have been out for over a year. They alternately blink occasionally and by about midnight are out completely for the night in most cases. It is very dark even with the additional lighting provided by the Eye Center across the street. It would be greatly appreciated if these could finally be repaired.
Front porch and back yard have a lot of cans, bottles, boxes, indoor furniture and other debris.
I have had several weeks where my recycling was not picked up. Apparently, based on your website, this was because styrofoam was present, but the can clearly indicates that styrofoam is acceptable. Since there seems to be a contradiction, it would be nice if the collectors would leave some indication of what items are not acceptable, rather than leave the customer/taxpayer guessing. If this is a training issue, my address is 1257 W. Countryside Ln.
The Bryan Park Tennis courts have been packed the last few days with people playing doubles Tennis not following the CDC guidelines. This a public health issue.
Why is West Allen St heading West closed? I live at 1207 West Green Tree Lane and would like to know what is the very noisy road work they are doing? Thank you, Nancy Brooks. nabrooks@indiana.edu
