Ever since the 4-way Stop signs were added to the intersection of Kirkwood and Madison, it has become more dangerous for pedestrians to cross Kirkwood. I live at the corner of this intersection and cross several times a day on foot, taking my school to school, shopping, etc. Individual cars may stop but never both cars going in each direction on Kirkwood. We find ourselves in the middle of the intersection constantly with a car stopped going east but another zipping through going west. I understand why the extra Stop signs were added: there were car accidents on occasion. Now thanks to this well-intended addition we can't cross safely as pedestrians because people only think about where THEY'RE going, not that both east and west moving vehicle have to stop at the SAME time to allow pedestrians to cross. So either revert back to having only stop signs going North and South on Madison or add a traffic light. This intersection has become infinitely more dangerous for residents and children who don't always look BOTH ways before crossing the street. This is URGENT especially now that school has started.

There is no paved sidewalk; it's just a bunch of horribly laid slabs of stone. How was this even allowed, especially in downtown?! This is not wheelchair accessible, and is dangerous to all others. Please put in a paved sidewalk here so wheelchaired people don't have to turn around and cross the street just to get by.

VERY disappointed in the new sidewalk curbs at 4th and Indiana. The curbs are to high for handicap individuals trying to correct they have made a mess of the new sidewalk areas. One sidewalk has been chipped significantly trying to correct. Very poor job.

Hi, There's a couple of large road cuts at the intersection of Lincoln and 6th St. If the city is not planning on filling these any time soon could we at least get the sharp edges softened? Sometimes I've seen this done and it makes road cuts much easier to drive over without damaging your tires. Thanks, Vickie Nelson Bloomington

Complaint of insufficient and unclear construction signage. Is making it difficult to get into parking lot where she works and sometimes forces her to take one way streets the wrong direction in order to access parking lot.

Please add a deer- crossing sign at the sharp curve on Old State Road 37. Cars speeding down the hill may not know how frequently deer run deer are present.

Traffic lights on 4th at 4th/College seem mis-timed, at least when I am driving east at 8:30 am. The College Ave lights, in front of Serendipity/Atlas, are red for about 7 seconds before the 4th St light turns green. The same light at 4th/Walnut turns at the expected time. I'm seeing people sneak through 4th/College some mornings because the one-way southbound College Ave traffic is so clearly stopped to our left.

Curb has disintegrated over the years. As people turn from Jackson st onto Smith Ave they are driving onto my property due to there being a lack of boundary between the road and my back yard. My property is 606 W. Howe Street and the issue is the the backyard where it boarders Smith Ave. My husband and I would really appreciate it if this curb could be rebuilt to prevent further damage. Thank you!

Dear Government, I have been living here for about 13 years, and in this time it has become clear to me that there is a problem at the intersection between Rusgan Drive and Ramble Road West. You see this intersection has been my bus stop for years, and whether it's the dark of morning when I leave or daylight when I get back people speed right by as if there were no speed limit. This is only made worse by the fact that the intersection is half blind because it lies at the bottom of a small hill. So for the well being of myself and the children of the neighborhood I am requesting that this intersection be changed to a three way stop. I believe this would force the people of the neighborhood to drive at a more reasonable speed and therefore make my street much safer. I believe my neighbor across the street, the father of a small child, previously wrote the city requesting the same thing. I myself am just a teenager. So you know that once the problem has reached the point where a teenager takes time where they could have been doing nothing to write the city about traffic regulation, it's probably not just nothing. And considering others have written about this in the past, I frankly find it foolish to wait until someone actually gets hurt to take action. Thank you for your time and consideration, P.S. In the alley adjacent to Bloomington Center for Global Children at 1111 North Walnut Street, traffic often travels both ways. As a parent who picks up a young child there, I am keenly aware of the danger presented by a two way alley adjacent to a child care center. I am requesting that this alley be made one way with traffic control as well, as the traffic traveling north on Walnut street presents another danger to those individuals turning west into the alley next to the center.
