I have called 2 times to get these 2 separate line of sight safety issues resolved. I have also filed a previous uReport case # 172894. However nothing has been done to resolve these 2 issues. I even included photos on original uReport. So I will file another uReport. The first public safety traffic issue is at the T-intersection of Allen Street and Bloomfield Rd. as you approach Bloomfield Rd. and are looking to your right. This intersection has bushes/small trees/over growth ect... and blocks your view completely. The second issue with line of sight public safety traffic hazard is when you exit Hilltop Court Apts. 1305 West Allen St. and look to your right and again your line of sight is blocked by over growth both these areas especially the first one needs trimmed way back so this problem doesn't come right back in 30 days. I am curious as to why no one has even returned a call to my cell or emails me back with the resolution ect.. Rest assured I will continue to pursue this up the ladder until it is resolved. There is no safe access to 2nd St from Allen St. Adams St continually has pedestrians walking in the road. This road is on a bus route. Want our community members to be safe traveling/walking. Adams St. from Allen St to 2nd is not safe.

Previous post closed without being fixed. There is excessive growth/weeds coming out of the street between sidewalks and road itself making our city look trashy and not maintained. Incident was closed bc “they wernt blocking sidewalk.” That is irrelevant. I would like to know who closed the last complaint. Tax paying citizens are paying for the streets and sidewalks to be maintained.

There is often a fairly substantial amount of water flowing down the street on Wilson St (between Palmer St and Grant St). I'm not sure where it comes from, but it seems out of place.

People using the field at RCA Park as a dog park; two bully-breed dogs off leash. Owners were smoking on park grounds and did not pick up dog feces. The dogs were not in an enclosed area and at one point ran onto the playground where there were small children playing. This was extremely unsafe. Dog owners drive a large red ford truck with black trim. License plate CBL917. Please investigate so these people know not to do this again. I fear for the safety of the people who visit the park. Thank you!

I have plumbers at my house now doing extensive digging to resolve a backup in the main sewer line. They believe the blockage is within city jurisdiction. We have had sewage spewing into our shower and the toilet won't flush the last 24 hours

Can you clarify if smoking is allowed at the new switchyard park? We were there last night to play Bocce, and a large group was congregating (ant not playing Bocce) on the courts, smoking. There was another group smoking in the shelter near the splash pad. If smoking is not allowed, will there be any enforcement?

My sewer has been backing up in my basement for several weeks. Roto Rooter came out to identify the problem. They found that my line is "party line" and is attached to my neighbor's line. The lines meet in his driveway and my line crosses through his front yard (see photos). Our houses were built in 1962. I know talking to the plumbers that this is illegal. To make it better, my neighbor is deceased (died in November) and the house is a foreclosure. No family is wanting responsibility for the house. We tried to call the bank to see what to do. The driveway and front yard will need to be dug up to move and replace the pipe. Who can I speak to to discuss how to proceed with this and (honestly) who will help pay for it?

Disappointing to read that local police don't want to actually promote public health and assist with a mask ordinance. Definitely lends credence that they are only interested in heavy-handed "crimefighting" and not true public safety. Bloomington, it's time to move from a police approach to a public safety approach. You can argue against defunding the police all you want, but when police only want to "save" people with guns and force instead of public health, we're no better than those departments on the news; we're only killing people in a different way. Time to rethink the way we are caring for our community. More nurses, social workers, and compliance personnel and less bearcats, bullets, and badges, anyone? I'm not even a rabblerouser, just sick of political hypocrisy.
