Hi, I'm reporting this issue for a second time. The west-bound lane detector has been intermittently failing to detect vehicles since work started on this intersection in the summer of 2012. I think Tuesday night this week I pulled up behind a half-dozen cars and watched as each had to drive through the red light (turning left onto Walnut) because the light would not turn green for east-west traffic. The problem is intermittent. Since reporting this problem 2 weeks ago I have found that it won't detect my car if I stop at the new stop line. I have to pull ahead past it, and that still doesn't guarantee it will always work. Thanks, -Nathan
704 W. 4th St. I couldn't find a category for this in uReport, but I know HAND deals with this. This rental property has an upholstered chair sitting on the front porch that needs to be removed.
Street signs down at Wintersweet and Rosewood for close to a month. Signs fell down in high wind and then were taken within a day. Never replaced.
This light is getting stuck for SEVERAL minutes every morning. This is a very popular intersection for students trying to get to North in the mornings and this morning I witnessed several of these students trying to get accross that intersection between traffic even with the light being red. It stays at red for the Old 31 traffic for so long that traffic often backs up past Marlin Hills and up the very slick and dangerous hill east of Dunn Street. This is going to cause an accident if it isn't handled immediately. As a parent of a child trying to make this drive every morning as well as myself PLEASE get the timing corrected before someone is hurt.
The red light on Old 37 isn't changing. Some cars are choosing to run the red light. This intersection is an incredibly dangerous intersection to do that. Intersection at North Walnut and Old 37.
704 W. 4th St. The sidewalk is front of this house is ridiculous. They never shoveled or salted, and it's been almost 2 weeks since it snowed. Someone is going to get hurt. They shoveled up to their front door, and I know someone is home.
The sidewalk adjacent to the metered parking lot at 4th and Dunn has not been cleared and is difficult to traverse.
Pedestrian island is has not been cleared of snow.
I got home yesterday to find that whoever plowed the Somersbe subdivision left the first four houses in the neighborhood with about a 10 foot barrier between the path they plowed and our driveways. I had to literally park in the middle of the road while I shoveled a path just to get to the driveway itself. I've lived here for 5 years and seen quite a few heavy snows and I've never seen as bad a job as this. The more immediate problem is that they isolated the mailboxes for our houses in a way that I doubt USPS will be able to get to them. I know that in some areas, if the mailbox is inaccessible to the delivery vehicle, USPS won't deliver the mail. If that's the case, and the the 10 day weather forecast is accurate, the first four houses won't be seeing mail for well over 10 days. Could you please have them come back and finish plowing the rest of the street in front of our homes? Thank you for your help.
