I am not sure what the owner of this building has planned, but it seems there has seem some slow work done to the house since my husband and I have bought and renovated our home a year and a half ago. In this time, we have seen animals come and go from this abandoned house, seemingly homeless people come and go from the basement and the windows boarded up. This home is in utter disarray. With so many homes in the prospect hill area being renovated and maintaining the historical feel, this is one of the few if not the only home that is a major eye sore on our neighborhood. I am not sure if there can be anything done legally to motivate the owner to do renovations more quickly or to just tear it town. Any thoughts would be very much appreciated to address this problem. After the snowfall a few days ago, our leasing office did not come clean our sidewalks at 729 E. Hunter Avenue. Because of this, the snow has melted and refrozen into an invisible sheet of ice over the red brick sidewalk. This morning as I left my home, I slipped and fell very hard on the sidewalk and bruised my hip. I'm now dealing with pain in my back and hips. My emergency maintenance man has basically blown me off even after stating that I had fallen and gotten hurt, so I am reporting Jeanne Walters Real Estate.
