Traffic Signals

2nd and Adams

Case Date:
4/27/2025

The traffic light is longer for the traffic on Adam’s Street vs the traffic on 2nd Street causing a back up all. The timing should be flipped so the green light is longer for the traffic on 2nd Street.

Street Trees

811 S Larkspur LN

Case Date:
4/26/2025

Dangerous Bradford Pear. 30ft tall. City came through trimming trees and left it where one half of the branches are gone on one side making it heavy on one side and the whole tree is leaning south looking to fall on neighbors driveway and car given the next big winds. Whole thing seriously just needs to be removed

Parks & Rec Buildings

Twin Lakes Recreational Center

Case Date:
4/26/2025

I wish to complain vehemently about the noisy hand dryers at Twin Lakes. With each use, it sounds like a jet airplane taking off. A terrifying and very LOUD sound. It’s time to replace them with a softly humming dryer before an octogenarian member dies of a heart attack. You’ll save on toilet paper, too, from those who look for an alternative!

Potholes, Other Street Repair

605 W 1st St

Case Date:
4/26/2025

Other: Over the past 4 years, W. 1st street from Walker to edge of Hopewell (near Fairview) was used extensively, often daily, during demolition and construction with heavy equipment and trucks often idling there waiting to move closer to the Hopewell construction area. . As a result that end of the street as well as the curve onto Wylie/Euclid street experienced a lot of wear and tear; periodic potholes, sidewalks closed at times, spray painted utility markings. Are there any plans to pave and repair the street and shoulders that are technically in McDoel Gardens? It definitely would show a measure of goodwill for all that the near neighbors and businesses have experienced as Hopewell emerges. W. 1st towards Rogers and onward looks great with paving, new sidewalks and street lamps.
